I have shot a little of both. Both went BANG just fine. The U. S. Government used to buy from both sources and stopped (as far as I know) due to changes in procurement rules, not because of quality control issues.

IMI is mostly military overrun. And the do supply the US military as well

Both are good. I do not think they are better than Wolf Gold but if the price is right they are great for plinking. I personally think that the PMC is loaded lighter than IMI or Wolf but I have not chrono'ed it. Recoil impulse seems light.
In this realm of 55gr brass cased ammo price drives the purchase more than anything if you are shooting within 200 yards. IMHO. Some guns will shoot one ammo better than another so buy a little of each and put the gun on a bench and see what performs best for you.

I shoot PMC pistol calibers and .223 when it is on sale. One return to CS included the habitual "only SAMMII spec ammo", so I looked it up, and PMC does claim to adhere to the specs, unlike some other foreign ammo. So it meets the "suggested" ammo lists in many users guides.
Not sure about IMI. I've used some of their 9mm and have a few boxes of 5.56 in the ammo box, but have not fired it.

The PMC Bronze 223 ammo is ok. Not particularly impressed with it but it shoots fine although a little on the weak side. It wouldn't lock the bolt back after the last round on my PSA AR but the accuracy was good. For the money the Wolf Gold is better IMO.
The PMC X-Tac 5.56 ammo is good. I've shot both the 55gr and 62gr with no issues and accuracy was good.
The IMI 62gr M855 ammo is really good and very accurate in my rifle. No problems with it at all but it tends to be a little more expensive than the above ammo.
All of these brands are really good brass for reloading.

There is nothing wrong with the PMC Bronze, I have shot thousands of rounds of it with no problems in both AR15's and Mini 14's. I don't think that it is as hot as say Federal, but like I said, no problems. I have had good experience with Armscor as well.
As for dirty shooting ammo, I have not really seen that much difference on any .223/5.56 priced under Forty(40) Cents a round. I have seen more difference with pistol ammo as far as being clean or dirty than I have with rifle ammo.

1000+ rounds of PMC Bronze thru my S&W M&P 15 Mid Moe and it's been 100% reliable.
1000+ rounds I'd PMC Bronze thru my M&P 40 and it's been 100% reliable.
PMC feeds and goes bang every time. I can't can't say that about all ammo brands I've used.

I have several cases of PMC 5.56, .45acp and 9mm. Never had any issues with it.

Depends on caliber, in .380 for my glock g42, it was among the best. Clean burning and very accurate, also very inexpensive for .380. Not so with 9mm, it was ok in accuracy cycled well but was dirtier than many. It too was an affordable option.
I have no opinion on IMI, I never see it here in western Washington.
