Picked these up not long ago because of the S&W connection. It's something you don't see everyday for sale and I don't think they're anything anyone would need anyway. Hopefully.

Oh the memories....

almost brings a tear to my eyes.;)

I chucked a few of those back in the day. S&W was the big dog in chemical spray and the like back in the 60s and 70s (maybe longer but that is my period of knowledge) Lake Erie Chemical came into the S&W family during the time that Smith was trying to be all things Law Enforcement. Think I still have a can of CS/CN spray for belt carry. Anyway you will find the same canisters marked as S&W, Lake Erie or Lake Erie a division of S&W. Be very careful as those things get burning hot when discharged so store them in a safe place... Nice find!

I have also seen these with the lables printed in Spanish, for the Central & So. American law enforcement trade. Rex Applegate showed them to me at the S&WCA annual meeting in Bellevue, WA. He had a display of his S&W Mercox guns and other riot control equipment, that he had used in his Mexico City business teaching riot control to Mexican LEOs.
