The dog on the box looks none too pleased, he wanted meat.

It has been a long day. I've walked 12.5 miles, spent 20 minutes doing upper body exercises on a resistance machine, spent 40 minutes on the phone with my bank and another half an hour at the bank. Bank time was to finally convince them that they took $903.88 out of my checking account and sent it to where? I have no idea where, and they do not know either. Therefore it is finally Beer Time!

Today I'm having a Sierra Nevada Torpedo Double IPA, a big bottle I may add.

It has been a while since I've had a Torpedo. This is a lot more mellow than I remember it. I need to see if there is a date on the bottle, it may be old stock that has mellowed. IPAs in particular age well. In fact the classic IPA had a high alcohol by volume and was highly hopped in order to hold up to the long sea voyage from Great Britain to India back in colonial times. This is good stuff!

Cheers!

Edit: Upon refilling my glass with the remainder of the bottle, there is a date produced of 07/23/15 on it. That is pushing the limits of freshness for an American Adjunct Lager but not that old for an IPA.

Most importantly (after the beer, that is), did you get your money back?

That's not that old and many beers get better with age
