GOOD MORNING MONDAY!!!!
62° now, high 82° forecast, 70% humidity, light breeze, sun coming up, looks like a good day! Radar shows pawngal might be getting some rain and rumbling in the sky!
Thunder and rain forecast here for tomorrow through Sat.
Just another day in the neighborhood.
Maybe make it to the range and see if I can keep them all down range and around the little circle?
Everybody have a good day!

Yep, Woke up early to thunder boomers, decided it was good sleeping weather. Off and on chances of rain for the next week. Glad I spent the past couple of days doing stuff outside.

Now I have no excuse for not doing housework! Don't worry I can always find a way to ignore it.

Drift is flowing nicely for a Monday morning!
Had a good time at the range early this morning!
Me and nature alone, match made in heaven! 😎
Somebody must have got some tannerite over the weekend. Evidently the plastic bottle it was in doesn't clean up well? 😖
Been working more with the lg 469 laser on the XDs 9mm 3.3. Had both for several years!
Working on smooth, and the laser in brighter light. Definitely getting better groups with the laser than with the sights! Laser group is about 1/2 of the sights group. Wondering if it is the laser single plane for the old eyes versus triple plane for the sights?
Old well, both ways went where they should, and made a mess of 8 through 10.
XDs definitely liked the 10 ring better than the model 67 fired double action. More I shoot the XDs the more I like it! Bright light and the red laser, sights are definitely better. Don't know about a green laser, now available, seems available money should be spent on ammo rather than another gimmick.
Confirmed Hornady Critical Duty 9mm and my XDs have a troubled relationship? Some magazines, either 7 or 9, 2nd round out of magazine hangs up. If you load one less than capacity does better but not 100%. FMJ 100%! My son says his XDs hasn't had a bobble with Critical Duty! The individuality of pistols I guess is like us people, varies a lot!
Still fun time, and that is what counts! 😁

It's looking warm and sunny out there.
My wife's at work.
I was planning on going for a hike with her after she got home but they're sayin' we might have a storm by then.
Then again, I can go wandering up the local mountain ridges by myself.
I guess if it's still nice when she gets home, I can go for another hike with her.
I'll just burn twice the calories today.

Good shooting there Lok.
We had those suckers around a couple of my out buildings
at my last place we lived.
Myself and my grandsons had a blast taking care of them
with a oversized plastic whiffleball bat.
Buzzzz, Buzzz, thwaack. Problem solved.:D:D

Absolutely Gorgeous day here today.
Many thanks to the Creator.
Low 80's and Sunny and NO humidity.
It got down to 48-50 degrees last night.
Perfect sleeping weather.
It could stay like this all year for me.
Hope you all have a great day.

Hmmmm... In the past few months, I've bought a .308 Ruger Precision Rifle; a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 and 15-22; a Thompson Center Dimension in .243; a Henry 30-30; a 9 MM Shield; a Glock 29; a Kimber Classic Carry Pro; a Springfield Armory Range Officer Compact in .45; and a Dan Wesson Guardian in .38 Super. Maybe I should buy a nice '69 Chevelle.[emoji12] I could drive it to the LGS!

Chief,
With the roll you been on lately you might consider one of these to drive to the LGS.

Not as fast or as fun as a Chevelle but holds more.
:eek::eek::eek:

Off to a High School baseball game to watch my neighbors
kid. This young man is in top 5% of his class (junior),
academically and is batting over .500 as the Varsity Catcher.
A fine young man and the kind of kid that gives you hope
that we might make it in the future.

Chuck
I'll check in with you crazies later on this evening.

BCC I now see that we are too late with the intervention, hope you survive this attack. The Chevelle might be a cure as it will eat all your cash!

Or maybe one of these would be suitable. ;)

It can carry a bunch of guns and stays in touch with the Drift while on the road. Just what a BCC should have.

Today, all I had was a granola bar, one banana and a glass of water.
Then I went for a nice long hike in the mountains.
After my wife came home from work, the sun was still shining so we both went for a hike.
Checking my LifeTrak watch, I hiked a total of 6.08 miles, 15,272 steps and burned 2,736 calories.
So how did I end up gaining a pound?

Your weight will fluctuate during the day depending on fluid lose and intake. I weigh first thing in the morning after peeing, but before eating or drinking anything. Years ago I'd weigh just before going to sleep then weigh again first thing in the morning and found I usually lost two pounds overnight. The weigh came back after drinking some fluids. You lose fluids even when exhaling. One day down a lifetime to go.

I have not had much to say today, but I feel obligated to keep up with the story of the USS Yolo. So back to Okinawa this date 1945:

May 23, 1945

By morning the wind dropped but the rain continued. A rumor persists that the Japanese have put out peace feelers. Pilots from Guam say the war will be over soon. Tokyo even broadcasts that a peace movement is growing in Japan. Those of us who have been here since 1 April see no justification for the rumor, but who knows. Small ships coming alongside for provisions complain of their serious operational defects that have developed because of the long period without adequate upkeep. The lack of replacement parts and damaged equipment is serious. Such difficulties keep badly needed patrol craft out of service. Many PCs and SCs report they have had no opportunity for maintenance in over a month. Bombardment vessels complain because of a shortage of star shells and ammunition.
