Annoyed at thread drift

I noticed a Brown Thrasher couple building a nest in my defunct Martin house this last weekend. Gave up on cleaning the Martin house several years ago as it is in the wrong location on my property. Sparrows took over. Very energetic.

I have had a Eastern Phoebe build a nest under my deck support for the past 5 years. Same exact spot. Don't know if it is the same bird couple. It sure is cool.

Set my hummingbird feeders out this last weekend. I know a little late but I sure enjoy them. Seen a ruby throated hummer cruising my usual place telling me that I AM HUNGRY! Way cool.

I had one hummingbird in the center of my picture window hovering like where's the juice Bruce? The misses made some up and its been none stop like I95 hummingbirds feeding now.

She put out some song bird food and we have a grayish silver bird that has striped like a striped bass but it flies. We have yellow birds I never seen before feeding here too. No songs yet there just eaten for free like our relatives do on holidays.

Sunday was the first warm sunny day we've had . Wifey and i were enjoying our second cup of coffee on the back deck and deceided it was time to get out the Humming bird feeders; she got 'em out the garage and set them on the deck while she finished her coffee. ZOOM!!! male ruby throated hummer hit that empty feeder like he'd not eaten in days!!!!
 
Here we go I purchased my 4yo grandson a dirtbike lastnite. He now has a Suzuki JR 50. He just about fits on it. This is what grandpa's are for.

Well Giddylee I guess the thread has finally run it's course....It was a heck of a run...

What makes you think it's over, it ain't over till it's over, or when the fat lady sings, who was that fat lady anyway, I can remember hearing that when I was a kid, the only fat lady that I knew that sang was Kate Smith. :D

Oh yeah, I love this time of the year. Hummingbirds just outside my kitchen window, song birds singing their music and making their lovely sounds, keeping me awake at night and building their nasty nests underneath my deck and crapping all over my picnic table down below. Oh yeah, I just love it. But it still beats the winter we just had (he said cynically). Not to mention the moles that are digging up my front yard again. Argh!

But I'm still alive so all is good.

You know, I may have posted that already, but I'm damned if I'll read back through 2400 posts to find out. :D
