I'm trying to think, but nothing is happening!

Not to intrude on Snubby"s domain, but here's one of my favorite groups.

Steely Dan - Reelin in the Years ('73): https://youtu.be/s7V5-O8Zk2k
When this song was released, I was 16 years old, smoking a Marlboro and cruisin' around in my '68 Chrysler Newport with a Radio Shack FM converter.
I was so cool.

I was born in '67 so I was really young when this song came out. My parents were definitely not into rock and roll, but my brother was 7 years older than me and steered me in the right direction when it came to music. I gave him some money that I earned doing chores to pick out some used albums for me...actual lp's. He came home with Steely Dan (Can't Buy a Thrill), Moody Blues (can't remember exact album name but had Nights in White Satin), and Badfinger (Straight Up). Steely Dan stuck with me. I had all their albums on cassette at one time. Deacon Blues is another favorite tune...among many.

Just pretend this is witty.

Drifted in on some drifting trikes and FM ,nice! There weretbt some really good stations when FM was first getting going before "corporate radio" took over the air waves, now it is the same stuff coast to coast. There is no bad music just different types.

Thanks Snubby, for FM. That's one of my all time favorite tunes. That sax solo is just killer!

Edited to add: Bigride mentioned "Deacon Blues", which is another of my all time favorite Steely Dan tunes. I did a little research, & both sax solos were done by the same guy; Pete Christlieb, for those of us that give a triple rosy red rodent's posterior...
