Parsley will be unavailable this weekend as he's fulfilling his Reserve training obligation.

Ahhhhh! Just what I needed to start off my Friday! LOL!!!
Thanks, BCC! Yes, even though Parsley loves his sword play,
he's a darn good shot.

To all the veterans who might be watching the DRIFTing,
thank you all for protecting our rights and the rights of others
not as fortunate as we.
You're the reason the DRIFT can be here!

Think I'll get me a breeeskit to cooks on Saturn's Day.
Have a FAB weekend y'all !!!

Indianapolis 500,99th running this Sunday. When I was a kid it was pretty much American racers and Joe Average could even think about participating, now it is big time money and racers from everywhere in the world. Airplane cars flying on the track. Think it is still the largest spectator event. NASCAR later.

To finish water cut off story, paid bill ,drama over . I will go to water board meeting. Took two minutes to run hose from neighbor so was only embarrassing that it happened to me. Neighbor is on the water board . They need a much better notification process, turn off could be really hard on some people in different circumstances.

vonn, Growing up in my local town of Reading PA we had the local dirt track / stock car racing, and a lot of well known drivers that drove Indy came through here at the Reading Fairgrounds. In fact Jim Croce the folk singer spent time here in his youth and later wrote a song about it, a song called Rapid Roy the Stock Car Boy.

In later times I did get to know one of the locals that lived around the corner from me and that was a fellow by the name of Ernie McCoy. He had a garage up the alley from me and we would go up to his garage when he was loading or unloading his cars. Even in his older age he was still running the Midget circuit. Ernie always had some great stories to tell! ;)

You still in Reading? I'm not far south.

Looking forward to a great weekend, son arrives from MO late this afternoon. then going to a lakeside club to listen to a great local musician and have some beach drinks. Should be nice enough to take the MG. Saturday 13 yr old grandson will join us. Both will be staying till Tuesday. Only get to see them a few times a year. Saturday flea markets. Monday Avenue of Flags Memorial Service. In between a range trip or two to shoot with son and try to interest Grandson in shooting. Have plenty of ammo for the 10/22 if he likes it. I'll get to try son's H&K
USP 40 and he'll see if he can out shoot me with my wheel guns. Fridge is full of food, grill is ready, adult beverages stocked up.

Drift on!

Back in the day this was the place to be, Reading was a big race town! Sadly money talked and the race track and adjoining fair grounds was torn down to make way for a worthless shopping mall? To this day I can't figure how the mall survives!

Was just thinking last nite about all the local dirt track racing that I used to go to. Closest track has started regular races again this year and found out a couple of others are still running regular race schedules. Me thinks I'll be going to a few, nice little road trip with the MG on a warm summer night
