Ole Rapid Roy that stock car boy, he's too much to believe. You know he's always got an extra pack of cigarettes roll up in his tee shirt sleeve. He's got a tattoo on his arm that says Baby, he got another that just says Hey. And every Sunday afternoon he is a dirt track driver in a 58 Chevrolet.

I was never a real circle track fan, I liked the drag strip!
A friend of mine and I use to go with a guy that ran a A/A Fueler with a 392 Chrysler in it. He won some and he lost some. We'd run the push truck to get him to the start line, dump the bleach for his burn out and then follow him down the track to push him back!
Those days were great and if he won one we'd stop at a local race bar for a few beers and dinner on the way home!
We had one grand old time making the local circuit on Saturdays and Sundays.
It was always a great day in the pits though when Miss Vaughn was there!
In some regards in my youth, I think I may have liked her Oldsmobiles a little more than her!

Ran a 67 and 69 olds 455 back when they were new. Used all my Vietnam money and then they suspended my license for to many tickets!

After I rotated home, I bought a 1970 Hurst Olds 442. The gas crisis was in full swing so I started liberating avgas from the base motor pool. Went through three sets of Mickey Thompson L-60's and burned the valves down to pixie stix.
Like you, I couldn't afford the gas or tickets so I sold it. Boy, could she bark 'em off.

Geez, I'm out of town for a coupla days and yous guys drift 3 pages.
My blood pressure's 83 over 51 with a resting heart rate of 54.
When I was getting treatments for my peripheral neuropathy, I kept setting heart rate monitor alarms off.

Snubster, there are folks here that don't post for months and go unnoticed. You disappear for 48 hours and we think a meteorite landed on Paw Paw.
I just have no idea what to say in response to this without getting dinged. Just gonna grab a gear and let the clutch out real slow.Nice posi-traction rear end.....not to mention the solid lifters.

Just got back to the drift,grand daughters here and can't get away until she conks for the night. They go full throttle then out like a light. Love em more than anything.

Snubby ,is that Indian blood pressure or is there something wrong? Around here there are enough old guys you notice when someone isn't around and after few days you start to wonder.
Runs in our family on my Dad's side. It's normal for me.
I guess it'd just be polite for me to say when I won't be around for a few days.
Tomorrow's the Paw Paw Memorial Day Parade. I'm gonna try to get it on video and share it with ya'll. Might go for a wander around the car show and vendors area and get it on video.
