The only ties I have to any naval ship would be to the U.S.S. Louisiana,my grandfather served onboard during WWI and while it was the Flag Ship for the Great White Fleet.

As I recall, it tasted like Falstaff. I think the Billie Beer sold here in Texas was made by the same folks that were brewing Falstaff at the time.

There are a couple of things that there are no bad ones just some better than others, beer being one of those things according to knowledgeable sources.

Beer does go bad over time. Sunlight and bottled beer do not play well together. I've had both canned and bottled beer that had gone bad and tasted nothing like what beer should taste like. Also see below.

Even more so when you consider the negative impact on the contents of keeping any liquid in plastic.
Really pure water should be kept in a glass container. The same goes for beer. No matter what brand or quality you prefer, it should be glass bottled not canned.

Most brewers now consider modern aluminum cans to be superior to bottles. That is because the can blocks all light. The beer in the can should not interact with the aluminum can any more than beer does in aluminum kegs. In my experience kegged beer is best.

You've obviously never had a Schaeffer...

Yep, no doubt about it... The Schaeffer I had was so bad I did not finish it and I never wanted to try another one again.

When I woke up this morning, these two songs were playing on an endless loop in my head:

Two of my all time favorites.
