We went down to Trader Joe's this afternoon.
Traffic was awful. I am SO happy it was 65 degrees and not 25.
It was bad enough wet; It would have been far worse frozen.

I am still not ready for Christmas. I haven't wrapped anything.
I'm behind in my house cleaning. (well, I'm kinda perpetually behind in that department. )

Hey, anyone ever try to upsize an emoticon?
Let's see if it works.:D
Nope.
(See how I skillfully diverted the conversation away from housework?)

Well, I'm one of those who is keeping the lights on at work tomorrow. Gotta get my rest.
Notice I left the beauty out. I'm beautiful even if I'm sleep deprived.

Ooooops. Forgot my Night-night! Night-night, Drifters!

I don't like math...or bacon. However...SNICKERDOODLES.

Breakfast tomorrow...oatmeal...with no bacon.

I am taking 4 days off in a row next week/weekend. First time I have taken that much time off at one time in over 10 years. I need it. My wife and I have zero plans. She likes bacon. She can't eat it...but she likes it.

I am drifting in my thread drift post. So that means that there is post drift in the thread drift.

Merry Christmas Eve Eve.

Wind is really blowing here.

Tomorrow, my wife has a doctors appointment to get an MRI done of her left knee.
It's the one that got injured when that young idiot ran a stop sign on a blind left turn, smashed into and totaled our truck.

We finally got an appointment to get it looked at.
It's been getting better and if the doctor says it's ok, hopefully this'll be the end of dealing with insurance companies.
That'd make for a really wonderful Christmas Present.

With my cane and a railing, I climbed up 6 steps, if you include the curb.
Now is this proof of my improving physical condition, the skill and knowledge of my physical therapists; or proof I will do anything for good lasagna?

Who notes Amici's in St. Augustine, A1A and 312...

Sounds like you are doing fine sir.
Glad you are gettin' up and around a little.
My Vote BTW, is for the Lasagna.

The wife thinks i'm crazy because i like the smell
of a Skunk, "as long as its not too close".
But i avoid Hospitals at all costs just because
of the smell.

Chuck
Whenever we come down out of the mountains it's always nice to smell the horse and cow poop as we drive past farms on the way home.
The smell of a squished skunk on a mountain road just means we're almost home.

Except for the Iowa-class battlewagons, I think few warships have been more graceful to the eye than World War II destroyers, especially the Fletchers.

I can't imagine what life in one in a North Atlantic gale was like, but dang, they were pretty.

You'll like the look of the Alaska class extra-heavy cruisers. They'd be more comfy in a North Atlantic gale.

I became confused when I heard the word "Service" used with these agencies:

1, Internal Revenue "Service".

2, U.S. Postal "Service".

3, Telephone "Service".

4, Cable T.V. "Service".

5, Civil "Service"

6, State, City, County & Public "Service".

7, Customer "Service".

This is not what I thought "Service" meant.

Today, I overheard two 2 farmers talking, and one of them said he hired a bull to "Service" a few cows. BAM!!! It all came into focus.

"Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us."

I hope that YOU are now just as enlightened as I am.
