Hello again Drifters.
Just a retirement note to myself:
On a rainy January day with nothing to do until later,
flip the TV on and check out the Sci-Fi channel.
Today's feature is "DinoShark". Yup !!
A cross between a Great White shark and a T-Rex
that leisurely swims around freshwater lakes, streams,
Oceans, etc.. eating people. Sigh.

No wait, the Cartoon channel has my favorite "Uncle Grandpa" !!!

Ok i've had my laughs for the day time for a nap.

Retirement is alright....

43 years ago today, the Watergate trial commenced.

Watergate complex - to this day, a feature on DC sightseeing tours.

I've been running late all day. I think it's my concern over the recent alien abductions; I did not sleep well last night. Well, my day is winding down so, it's Beer Time!

Today I found something new and old. It's called Shiner 98 Bavarian Style Amber (Brewer's Pride Craft Brew No. 8). It was originally produced in 2007 as Shiner's 98th Anniversary beer, and has been brought back for a limited run in 24 oz bottles, and 12 oz bottles in the Shiner Family Reunion mix packs. It is a Vienna Lager style beer and I drank it quite often during its first run.

According to Shiner's website it is 4.9% ABV, so it's not overly alcoholic. It pours a beautiful clear amber color with little head which dissipates quickly. A nice blend of roasted malts and hop flavors. Crisp without being overly bitter. I like it quite a bit and will be buying it regularly so long as it is available.

I have wanted Shiner to bring back the 98, 99, and 100th Anniversary brews since the end of the 100th brew's year long run. I'm pleased.

Chuck, you're lucky that "Chupacabra VS The Alamo" isn't playing on another channel. THEN you would have a tough decision to make...
