Those were the good old days in NY. Midway, Lucky Gunner, Ammoland, etc., can't ship ammo to a non-FFL holder in NY. I'm sure I'll find some. I should be claiming my local LGS as a dependent.[emoji12]

1. Ask the kind FFL that is doing the work on the Dan Wesson 38 Super to order a case for you.

2. Drive to a free state. (Is that what the movie Escape From NY is about?)

3. RCBS makes some nice gear and hand-loading is fun in its on right.

1.) Done

2.) Sometimes difficult to buy using a Republik of New Yawk Driver's License

3.) When I retire...

BCC, drive acoss the river into the Keystone statw. Yiu can buy ammo on Sunday, but no small batch.

My first time in Chicago I was 18 years old, yeah right after the Civil War....saw a picture in the paper of a woman face down on the street with her dress up over her head who had been blown over by the wind...

Drifters, this band ought to start an "Enablers Anonymous" group....

It has been a long day for me. It is time for some cold yellow fizzie stuff; yes, it's Beer Time!

Today's selection is from San Antonio's Freetail Brewing (yes Mexican Freetail Bats are iconic bug eaters in TX) Bat Outta Helles. A Helles style lager.

Pours a cloudy straw yellow with little short lasting head. Bread like malt and mild hop flavors. Good mouth feel let's you know you are not just drinking flavored water.

A very good beer that someone looking to move away from the giant macro brews may want to try. Interesting can, name, and iconic Texas bat theme included in the purchase price. I like it.

Cheers!

We're back from the Y and we just had our traditional anniversary supper.
I had my cookin' beer and we shared a bottle of wine with supper.

Don't know how I keep doing it but I seem to out do myself ever time I cook pork chops.
We're gonna let supper settle for a bit then it's time for my wife's caramel apple tartlets.

Hey Snubby, I was digging the menu till you got to the sprouts...vile weed...anyways, congrats on the anniversary of meeting your wife!
You just ain't had them in my wife's garlic butter sauce.

It was kinda cool. When I first saw her, I just had a feeling of, "it's about damned time you showed up."
Love at first sight?
More like relief at first sight.
Finally, the right woman.

I thought the intervention with BCC was successful. His collection of 1911s was too heavily weighted toward .45 ACP. Now he has broadened his horizons to include 38 Super in his 1911 collection. He now has broadened his 1911 outlook to include what he thought was a more daunting caliber for collection. Anybody can collect colors, chamberings are where it's at! :)

The Yolo and its crew have now been off the invasion beaches of Okinawa for 30 days in April and 21 days of May 1945. These boys are standing watch as men and busting butt to get supplies out to those in need. Homer Bast's personal notes for his ship this date 1945 Okinawa:

May 21, 1945

The bad weather failed to materialize; the Japanese lost a great night in which to bomb. Yolo's crew had plenty of sleep. Morning dawned quiet and warm but toward noon the in¬creasing wind caused several ships to drag anchor. The reef protects us somewhat from a blow. The paper work complete, I settled down to read the latest issue of Time magazine, which comes regularly - the most certain of all mail.

Dinner was served early because a double feature is planned. Between shows ships went to GQ from 1830 to 1930. Night fighters accounted for nine aircraft out of an estimated 15. As the word secure is passed the wind increased and black clouds rolled up on the horizon while vivid flashes of lightening brightened the sky. The ship yaws back and forth across the full scope of the chain. Toward midnight a downpour drenched those who were topside. The wind, however, did subside enough to secure the engine room and anchor watch. These stations are always manned in bad weather so that the ship can be underway in a moments notice. Reports indicate the rains that began this night will continue for several days.

I'm a Reds fan because they're the parent club of our AAA Louisville Bats, but what the corrugated hell momtivated them to trade Cueto?

They optioned Cueto, Frazier and Chapman for a passel of 4 star farm boys that we won't see for a while.

Enjoy the drought.

I'll trade ya Price, 10 lbs of Goetta and dinner at Jeff Ruby's for DeShields.

yes you can. You just have to find the ones that still do.

I use Targetsportsusa.com

From the Lucky Gunner website today:

Lucky Gunner is able to ship ammo to New York but we must ship through an Federal Firearms Licensee or what the state calls a "Registered Seller of Ammunition".

Step One:

Use the LuckyGunner.com site as you normally would and proceed to check-out.

Step Two:

When you place your order, enter the shipping address to your preferred in-state FFL or Registered Seller of Ammunition from the below list of pre-approved dealers or submit a shipping address of another FFL Dealer or Registered Seller of Ammunition that you would like to ship to. (Note: if your FFL dealer is not on the below list, they will need to fill out and email or fax this transfer agreement along with a copy of their current FFL permit/Registered Seller of Ammunition Confirmation to [email protected] or (800) 901-3309) before we will be able to ship to them. At that point, they'll be added to our approved list for easy processing in the future for other customers as well so you'll be doing all New Yorkers a big favor.

When entering the shipping information at check-out, be sure to put your name in the name fields and enter "C/O (FFL Name)" in the first line of the address fields as indicated below. This will make it as easy as possible for the FFL/Registered Seller to know the person to whom he or she will be transferring the ammunition.

OK, so how many FFL's in my area do you think want any part of this?[emoji15]
