Annoyed at thread drift

59° and sunny here. Susposed to be up to low 90's by the weekend as a front passes through with a chance of storms.
Speaking of sunny, anybody else have a sensitivity to the sun due to medications. Several of mine make liberal application of high SPF sunscreen mandatory. More than the usual.
Got a new set of electronic ear protection due tomorrow. This set is behind the head so I can wear my 'sombrero' with the big brim! Foam plugs and over the ears protection for shooting, chain saw, weed whacker, etc. Batteries leaked and corroded up my present set. Tried cleaning the contacts but no luck, so religated to dirty chores where the electronic feature not needed.
When mowing, using weed whacker, etc. seem to prefer being alone with my mental wanderings, e.g. drifting! Others like music playing during their work, but I get lost trying to figure who the artist or group is. One of the reasons I like Sirius is that the name of the song and the artist is right there!
Vet due in a while to check the horses for health papers so we can take them to other states. Vet has told me that he gets calls from other states officials if they catch a paperwork mistake, with the usual gov'mt. threats. So paperwork perfection is the most important thing to government??? 😛
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most! 😋

Good morning drift! Politics on the news so nothing worthwhile to report,I am sure something happened but the talking heads have to spew the propaganda. Middle of the week sure has gotten here quick, days have been flying by lately faster than I am prepared for. Drift on,don't worry,be happy!

Good morning everyone! Hoping all is well!
Not such a nice day here today, cloudy and overcast. The temps have dropped back from the 80's down to the 60's! It's nice not having the AC running and it was good sleeping last night. Temps are suppose to be back up in the 80's by Saturday! ;)
Goeoff glad to see that you're on the road with your Motorhome! :D
Really not to much happening in these parts?
So I guess it's off for another cup of coffee.

Just got home from my class, things are sure getting complicated these days! A/C is going to get much more expensive to repair and it is going to be a lot tougher to fix! Everything in your car or truck is becoming more and more computer dependent but not necessarily better. I just do not trust my life to any computer that could have a glitch just because you have dirty battery cables, etc. better stop the rant before I get dinged!
I agree, I miss the days of carburetors and points. Back when the only electronics was in the radio.

-How about B&W TV, 3 channels, and more content, less advertising !
-Or when AT&T was the only telephone game in town, and one call got problems
resolved. Real operators, no tactical wannabees !
Both victims of Congress.

Back to carburetors and points ! 😙

Mowing Tip

Taking a break from the sun and to reapply sunscreen!
Learned a great tip for making mowing more productive !

Lower the deck! 😫

Only had a small section covered when I looked back and noticed wasn't much being cut? Checked the blade setting, OK, checked that the blades were turning, OK, then noticed the handle showed all the way up! Duh! A mind is a terrible thing when not used! 😏

The Queen video reminded me of this.

Brian May suspended work on a doctorate (the dissertation phase, as I recall) to join Queen. He later went back to it and received his PhD in astrophysics, which he now teaches.

Pretty smart guy.

I was late coming to appreciate Queen, but they were amazing. Fantastic harmonies, and excellent instrumental work. "Bohemian Rhapsody", like Meat Loaf's "Paradise By The Dashboard Light", is really pop opera.

Remember setting the points with an ohm meter...line up the flywheel marks and turn the distributor till you break contact as indicated on the ohm meter...no timing light needed, and no busted fingers on the darn fan.

I remember reading somewhere That May's Dad built Brian's guitar from scratch...

Good Day Everyone

I woke up to notes all over the house. Wifey does notes, I hate notes! To remind me my daily agenda. That included being a tour guide.

So I Just walked in. Wifey has family in town for the CMA Fan Bash. I was volunteered by wifey, to show them around town. The first thing they wanted to see Was Mike and Frank's Nashville Pickers Store. It's OK, but tiny and more of a Pickers Tee Shirt Shop! And the Antiques they have is so over priced! And of course they spent $140 on Pickers Tee Shirts for their families back home in Parkersburg, West Virginia. And I took em to lunch at Prince's Famous Hot Chicken. Of course a bunch of old ladies oppted for the extra mild chicken, not the Extra Hot. And they still turned RED and sweated and Panted! Oh well and of course they bought Prince's Tee Shirts!!!

The weather here is perfect. Absolutely Beautiful!

So, I hope everyone has a Very Blissful Day! Stay Safe! And if your giving tours to Older Ladies, make sure you know where to get Dang Tee Shirts!!!

.

I used to be quite the T-shirt collector myself. Had them from allover the country. I'm going to send away for this shirt from a Pho(Thai soup) place in LA. They're called Pho King, & if you know how pho is pronounced you would see why it's funny & why I want one...
