Every now and then I need to listen to some classic country music! And that Johnny Cash "Rusty Cage"' hit home!
I was raised on classic Country Music and The Grand Ole Opry. Such as Waylon, Conway, Johnny, Hank Sr, The Carter Family ETC. But drifted to soul and rock in the mid 60's when I became a teenager, But it still runs deep in my heart and soul! I still LOVE allot of the old original Country Gospel Music, even today!

It's Beer Time... I've got nothing new, but am definitely imbibing after this afternoon upgrading my cellphone.
It has been a comedy of errors on my part, but each time I was faced with something I did not understand I stopped and thought the old one still works, you can return the new one... take your time and figure it out.
The Tracfone website told me that my phone number and days of service would transfer to the new phone, but my minutes would not. I thought whoa... ended up ordering $45 of service to get the thing going. Once the phone was up and running I found that my interpretation of the message I got was wrong. My phone service is paid for to 7/21/17, I have 1,978 minutes of talk time paid for, 5.2 GB of data use paid for, and I can send/receive 2354 texts messages without additional payment. The new phone and service addition cost me about $150 and unless something big happens in my life my smartphone service is paid for until this time next year.
To top it off the old phone still works fine on my wi-fi, so it's now a mini-tablet.
The new 4G LG Rebel is far more advanced than the old 3G LG Ultimate II. Change can be hard and then it is neat.

Some good music this afternoon,there is hardly any music I won't listen to and I have really enjoyed what gets posted here because you get people's personal likes and it reminds me of how radio used to be where each DJ played what they wanted instead of some pre programmed stuff that is the same everywhere. Drift on!

The war in 1945 Okinawa continues...
June 8, 1945
Between 0034 and 0500 some 40-59 aircraft were over the area. The strong winds which blew yesterday quieted around 0000, and the stars came out. The sky was clear and cloudless. Following their usual procedure of late, the enemy came within five miles of the anchorage and then withdrew. For days the airfields have escaped night bombing but around 0340 bombs were dropped in the vicinity of Yontan. The Japanese are strange. Apparently the "no attack" idea is to make us remain at GQ for long periods of time. Tonight it was four hours. Around 0750 a GQ was called for an hour and then again later we returned for another session. CAP engaged a large number of Japanese some miles out. TF 38 resumed operations off southern Kyushu but our pilots had little success, as the enemy planes were far inland. Only 29 planes were destroyed while our losses were four to AA.
During the day the boys loaded 93 tons of fresh and frozen foodstuffs from the 14,280 ton Matar (AK 119). Tomorrow dry stores await their turn. Tonight a movie was held on the tank deck. I try to be there on time, for the men do look forward to the show.

Timmber Wolf the Wonder coach sitting comfortable in a small slot on the hillside in VA. We visited the USMC National Museum today, wife on Pogogo, me on cane. I kept up successfully, but I will pay the price in the morning. F4Us hanging from the ceiling, neat but a bit far away. Next stop the obvious other museum in the VA area then back here for the night. Geoff Who notes it's getting cold tonight, wife is expected to be ecstatic about that in the morning. Me, my blood is Florida thin, as a fresh baked cracker.

So I just took my 2nd shower of the day. And Fix'n to lay out and watch some TV and hopefully get a good nights sleep? But I need to check wifey's notes for me, to make sure it's on my list? Did I mention? I hate freaking notes. I'd like to stick a damn post-it note up her, well never mind, y'all get my drift!
