Just say "No garnish." No hay problema . . .

Actualmente, "garnish" is not always synonymous with "lettuce" in many parts. Tomatoes and even sometimes chopped onions are also used by some Mexican restaurants. I love chopped tomatoes as a garnish for tacos, and chopped onions are an extra bonus when provided.
It's just the lettuce that I find annoying. It's also really upsetting to me when I order sour cream on the side, and they plop a dollop of it on a bed of shredded lettuce. Then you have to pick the lettuce out of the sour cream, which is the only thing I specified. I guess I'm a purist at heart.
And by the way, if your wife was responsible for those red enchiladas you posted, you are probably one of the luckiest men on the face of the earth! Can't wait to get together with you next time we hit Albuquerque!
