Is there any advantage to loading my 915 mags with alternating 124gr and 147gr Remington Golden Sabre 9mm?

I am guessing you meant for non-paper "targets?"

Theoretically, if you included some better-penetrating rounds and some faster expanding rounds in a mag, you are equipped for alternative situations, but I think this is mostly armchair kind of stuff.

I have from time to time thought of carrying deeper penetrating ammo in the winter due to the chance of an attacker wearing more clothes, but have instead just tried to use a good compromise all the time.

I could see some merit if someone alternated 124 grain ball with similar velocity 124 grain hollowpoints, if there was truly a reason to worry about penetration issues. At least point of impact wouldn't change much.

I don't think I wold bother.

You will have better shot consistency when you can expect the same recoil from every shot.

Make an ammo selection that gives you a good balance of expansion and penetration and stick with it.
