I like Grape Nuts, too. I will put some cinnamon in them and a little honey. Same with Grape Nut Flakes. I also like Cheerios, especially the Multi-grain. If I have one, I'll eat a banana along with it, or strawberries.
I had not bought any for several years and took the plunge recently. Most of the stuff has too much sugar or needless added tastes for me but, I forgot how much I liked Grape Nuts. I think its going to be something ill keep buying as well as Cheerios. Anyone else here drawn into this spending trap? and if so? whats the stuff you like?
Dr.Pepper!
Honey Nut Cheerios, or usually the Kroger clone, with a little plain (unsweetened) soymilk. But that's an evening snack, not breakfast. If I eat cereal for breakfast it's oatmeal or Cream of Rice. Hot Ralston if I can find it, but haven't found it for a long time.
I use All Bran to make cranberry-orange bran muffins.
It surprises me that so many people like Grape Nuts, or Grape Nuts mixed with Cheerios, but I dunno why it should. I like 'em too. Sometimes I'll eat Grape Nuts with yogurt instead of milk.
Another one I used to eat a lot is Kashi GoLean Crunch. But talk about keeping the trains running on time, with musical accompaniment. I lost 20 lbs. one summer eating that stuff for breakfast every day. It's really tasty, too. Another one that's good with yogurt. But my wife won't have it in the house; says I'm too hard to be around.
Back when I was a kid, Kellogg vs. Post was as heated as Marvel vs. DC.
I can't believe no one has said 'Lucky Charms" yet! They're magically delicious.

I'm in the camp that believes there are no healthy whole grains and all the boxes of **** that line the aisles in supermarkets are big food moneymakers with little or no nutritional value.
Why pay $5 for a box of air when for the same money you can get a pound of bacon and a dozen eggs?
I still remember an old joke by Johnny Carson...."may Euell Gibbons eat the plants out of your window box." Or something to that effect.

I like Kix, the plain kind. When I was a kid my mom made an evening snack from it. She skillet fried Kix in butter until the little kernels were golden brown then salted it. I liked it better than popcorn.
