Do they have the shooter? YES!

Has the rifle's caliber definitely been established and released yet? I have not seen anything official.
The only thing "official" released that I saw was the leaked ATF MS-Teams meeting screenshot that stated it was an "old import Mauser in caliber .30-06". This was leaked before the picture was released and before he was caught.

I'm hoping this murder of Charley Kirk turns into the script from a B western. You know where a villain has a gang that keeps the townspeople under his thumb. Doing what ever they like regardless of legal or not. They have the power, the law is what they say it is. Then something happens like a murder of an innocent person that wakes up the people. The line was crossed. Everyone saddles up and drives the villain and his gang out of town, clear out! Everyone that was collaborating also gets the boot. Once this wave starts, see it through to the end.

I don't know if the "evidence" we are given is true or not. I don't believe much of what the .gov or the media says.

Does he know the environment? Did he go to school there? We're told he lives hours away.

Have you seen the video of him supposedly jumping off the roof and running away from the campus. Why would he run away? Where's the rifle we're told he had? It's clear, even from the grainy footage that there was nothing that was about 3 feet long and straight.

The other story is that he disassembled it, then reassembled it and left it in the woods.

Yeah, sure.
first off, he needed a gun to do this. I don't know of many people who can spit 150 grain projectiles
Mauser, rem 700 win 70, 1903 .... any will do
disassembly ..... not likely ... you and I both know this and would be right to question it. But thats what the John Wick theory fan club is clinging to.
That's why it's better to speculate things that actually could fit because the media of today is just too stupid to see how outlandish the story they are selling is.
It's not our first rodeo ... I seem to recall a SCOTUS appointment hearing with statements about incidents relying on technology that didn't exist.
The solid givens ... A rifle, a dweeb to fire it, some police to recover it and an egress since he wasn't found with the rifle when it was recovered.

Watch the video of him fleeing off of the roof again. He clearly has something wrapped in a towel that he sets down as he gets off the roof, dropping it down and then picking it up and walking quickly towards the wooded area.

I read a report yesterday that a single screwdriver was found next to the rifle. That would lead you to believe that the barreled action was removed from the stock at some point, since there are only two screws through the trigger guard holding it in?

Realistically, do you think he made the shot, then, disassembled the rifle, - even broken down to stock and action it's going to be about 18-24 inches - jumped off the building, ran to the forest and had the time to reassemble the rifle, then he left it for someone else to pick it up?

Why not toss everything into the trunk and dump the components an hour or two away from the scene?

Whatever he has, it's flopping around.

If you're jumping off a roof, are you going to toss something heavy, then jump or jump like he did?

Agreed...There are pieces missing to the story. I'm sure in the near future, DOJ and Utah will release more information. I think the "Daily Mail", (UK tabloid/news), had a short video of him exiting the roof and I believe he was carry something,

DM has released information about the killer's "roommate" that further explains his possible motives. the above mentioned video is probably embedded in the story somewhere, as I watched it there the other day.

Roommate info

I have no doubt that the details of everything he did and when he did it, second-by-second, will probably be revealed within a few weeks. Too much pressure to get it out quickly. I'll wait.

^^ I doubt it.
1) As far as I know, he did not wear a vest (if you mean body armor).

2) I very much doubt most concealable armor would make any common .30-06 round bounce; that would almost certainly take rifle rated armor, level IV or higher and likely hard plates too.
