Any LED Flashlight nuts here??

I carry a Lumapower Incindio V3 in my pocket and a Streamlight Nano on a keychain. Last year during an icestorm I found myself trying to warn traffic on I-285 in Atlanta about a accident around the next curve. The 20 year old incandescent Mag light I had wouldn't even get their attention. One dented up car became a dozen in just a few minutes and I nearly got killed several times. Thats when I invested in the Incindio. 250 lumens will get anyones attention.

I like that nano an almost bought one but I went with the ITP and Fenix since they take AAA batteries...never been a fan of flashlights that take button batteries...

My first duty light was a 3 D-cell MagLite, because it met all the department guidelines. When I realized no one cared about what kind of flashlight you have I got a SureFire A2 Aviator. I carried that for about 5 years until the LED bug finally bit me. I replaced the A2 with a L4 LumaMax. Very bright and so far it seems like batteries go a long way. The A2 now joins a Model 10 as my night stand defensive compliment.

I've had quite a few Maglites over the years, size 2D, 3D, 4D, and the 2AA. I've recently upgraded them to LED in 3D and 2AA. They are much brighter, and have better battery life.

I've always liked the simple rugged design of the Maglite, and have had good luck with warranty / service. The 3D led is my favorite for carrying in the vehicle, and can be a great weapon when held by the head. I use mine when showing houses, and it works well on the belt ring, and the 3D even rides well in a deep front pocket of Dockers style pants.

I do plan on investing in one of the more modern brighter Surefires or Fenix models, but I'll always like the traditional Mag.

I have been on the candlepower forum, it's pretty cool. I'd like to get someone to make me one of the ROP hot rod Mags I've seen on there.

I'm another EagleTac P20A2 user with the "cool" light option. Of course mine is six or seven years old. Two AA Alkaline batteries never looked so good!

Cree XP-G R5 Cool LED - 300 emitter lumens
Maximum output (OTF): 230 lumens (1.5 hrs)
Medium output: 60 lumens (8 hrs)
Low output: 15 lumens (30 hrs)

It rides on my duty belt at work and in my pocket the rest of the time. On "high" it will light up vehicle reflectors two blocks away! It also strobes on "high" and "medium."

I have two 3-D cell MagLights that haven't had batteries in them in 5 years.
