I am looking for a sight pusher for my 5" Pro Series 40. I tried "tapping" the rear sight out with a light hammer and brass punch, but the thing is in tighter than I want to bang on it. Any sage suggestions?

Member epj makes and sells a good one. I bought and used one on my Shield sights change out. I doubt I could have removed my front sight with a hammer and punch without damaging the slide...it was REALLY TIGHT!

One the 5" model a special order pusher is required if you want to push the front sight. It's a half inch wider than the standard model.

I do want to push both front and back sights. If that is something you make, I will PM you contact info if you don't have a web page to point me to.

Seriously, try a larger hammer and a steel punch. I've yet to hurt an M&P without a pusher. A little common sense and elbow grease go a long way.

Epj I went to your site the first part of the week to get a site pusher and filled out the request for info as I could not figure out how to order it and pay for in on the web site. I have heard back so dropped the gun off at a smith today. I didn't want to order a cheap piece of junk off Amazon plus those required removing the safety. PM me please. Don

Hammer and punch works but it is hard to make accurate sight adjustments that way. Don

Best way to contact me through the website is by email, but why bother? Just check the ad here on this forum. Drop me a PM and let me knowmwhat you want.

That is one nice looking pusher. And reasonably priced to boot. I paid almost twice that for my XD pusher but that was way before I decided to get the M&P. When I go to change sights for the M&P I will order one from you.

my front sight was tight as can be, I bought a sight pusher from a guy here in San Diego, it still would not budge, I put tension on the sight pusher and put the whole thing in my freezer overnight and the next morning it had moved and I was able to get it centered. Worked for me

If you look in the notable threads at the top of this section, there is a series of pics using my tool on a couple of different Shields.

I got the B&J P500 Pro Universal Gun Sight Tool and am pretty happy with it.
This was my first attempt at any work on my M&Ps, but I was able to remove the sites on my FS 40, Shield, and Bodyguard.

B & J Arms

It is about $280 from Midway.
