... adding minutes and days in the last several months?

I've had this thing for several years now and up until my last three attempts to add new cards, I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread.

I don't use a phone much, and this has only cost me about $8 a month, but it gone to hell.

I now have to find another phone and call India while spending an hour or so while I'm given instructions and codes to manually "hack" the damn phone so it takes the airtime card.

Anyone else have to do this?

I have Net 10, it is owned by trac phone, I add my time on line, it only takes a minute, never had a problem.

Had one for years and it's still working fine.

Mine works fine, its just that there must be a bug that acts up when I add a new card.

Just can't get them to tell me if I need a new phone, or if it is their website or something.

Wish I knew.

I'm on my third one now. When it acts up get a new one and they will transfer any minutes left over to the new one. The more advanced models will do anything the average person will need, including photos.

We have had one since 2003, I added a year card one time on the computer, worked fine, next yearI could not and had to call the Indian in India. I find its best to just call them and give them the numbers from the one year card, I have trouble understanding them I wish they would hire some slow taking southern folks. Jeff

Had one some years ago because the wife kept bugging me about it after my HA. I did the 50 minutes a month thing, and along the way discovered they were taking the money but not giving me the minutes. I called them on it and it was 'so- you caught us' I trashed it and we now have REAL phones, as in I-PHONES. Another thing, it never worked when you needed it, like up on the Blue Ridge Parkway, and elsewhere. I have a problem dealing with thieves.

I've had one for years, buy a $20 card every 3 months and havent had a problem that wasnt my doing. It just takes a bit longer to spool up when first turned on than I would prefer, other than that its been a great little 911 box.

Loading online sounds good to me.
I have a Verizon pre-pay, always load online.
I always buy a $100 refill which is good for a year.

I'm on my second one in probably15 years. No problems yet. The one I have had for about 4 years gives me double minutes. since I hardly ever use it, I wind up buying a card because I am getting low on air time but not on minutes.
Peace
Gordon

Just upgraded to two new phones yesterday. They don't last long when you wash them in the clothes washer. No problem. I always upgraded my time using the number on the card via the "prepaid" section on the phone. Bring up Prepaid, go to "add airtime", type in the digits on the card and hit ok. Let the phone on until the process is complete. If you are going to switch telephone numbers and accumulated minutes to a new phone, do not put any minutes on the phone. Keep it blank. If you add minutes then try to swap phone numbers and accumulated minutes, they will have to send you a new Sim card. They will add any minutes from the card after the swap of minutes and phone number takes place.
