Anybody else like me who likes the unconventional "mediums?"

attn Alpo

Hey Alpo! So I'm not the only one who remembers SARCO! And the incomplete parts kits...

By the way, the 1st handgun I ever fired was a M-58 .41M, so I've liked that round from the beginning.

Man, I used to have a time with them, but once I met TJ, and had a "relationship" with him, I could call and talk to him, and what I wanted ended up coming south. Ended up with three 12s, three 16s, a 9.3x57 and a 22 out of that batch of Huskies.

Then he had to go and retire. Place just weren't the same.

All .41 mags from Ruger or S&W are built on the same frames as their .44 mags. :D

I've heard the Taurus Tracker is somewhat smaller , but who here would own a Taurus?

I guess I was comparing my standard to supers.... My Blackhawk 41 is considerably smaller than my Super Blackhawk 44; I don't think they made a 44 non-super Blackhawk when I bought mine many years ago. Now, however, the 44 is available in the Blackhawk Bisley, which is smaller than the Super. And my Redhawk is much smaller than the Super Redhawk.

The actual frame is the same (get the calipers), but the grip frame of the Blackhawk is smaller and usually aluminum. The original .357 Blackhawk frame was smaller. So are the special edition flat-top .44 specials.

Ruger even made a Super Blackhawk Hunter in .41 mag.

I took a stainless Super Blackhawk grip frame and fitted it to my 4 5/8"bbl .41 mag Blackhawk.

I've been to Sarco's old shop in NJ many times. They recently set up their retail gun shop here in PA. I went to the grand opening of their new shop in Easton , PA. They've been setting up at quite a few gun shows around here too.

I pulled out my BH and SBH and whaddya know, the frames are the same size. The larger, steel grip frame and longer barrel make the SBH look a lot bigger and heavier. I just like carrying the 41 much better. The two-tone looks nice on your SBH.

''Medium'' should measured in power. 45Colt and 44Sp fill the bill. My 25-3 has far less pwr than a 57 or 29..
