Trying to decide to see it this weekend or wait until lawyer night (otherwise known as $4.50 all day Tuesday) at the cinema

I found the animation wonderful, the dialog a bit adult, adult as in above children's understanding and Johnny Depp as Rango typical Johnny Depp. Overall I thought the movie was a bit long for the story line but good entertainment, but then my son has a degree in CG 3-D animation, so I may be biased. If I were going to see it again I'd wait until geologist night, along with the attorneys

Yep. Cute movie, great animation, some funny ironic adult dialogue. A bit artsy-fartsy in the cerebral department with all the symbolism and dialogue between cartoon characters and their Freudian imaginations. Kids will like it but won't begin to understand a fraction of it.

But there is a lot of subtle humor in bits and similarities paid homage from many old westerns. I'm not particularly a Johnny Depp fan, but I thought "he must have had a ball doing this !" Don't know that I'd buy it for the library but it's worth seeing once.

This review is worth what you paid for it . . . . . . :p

Wait until it comes on TV...my friend Claudia has a part in it and she needs the residuals...:)

Just got back from seeing it with the kiddies....I loved it! Clint Eastwood's first Pixar role as far as I know.

Actually, this wasn't Pixar . . . this was Nickelodean's first dipping of their toes into this type of animation.

Wow, Caje. If I were you I'd be very skeptical of something labeled as "lawyer night," think you might be walking into a trap.

I thought the language was inappropriate for the kiddies. We had to have a bad word discussion after the movie.

Have not seen it, but saw the previews a couple of times. Just read that many parents are upset because it shows over 100 incidents of cigarette smoking. If true, I'm not sure how that benefits the movie experience.

OMG! Claudia Black is my favorite actress! Talented, versatile and strikingly beautiful. I had to steal a peek at your hotlink. A Fox playing a fox - perfect. I'll have to see the movie just for Claudia. Any chance you could coax an autographed photo out of her, if its not too much to ask? I'll pay for it; I'll pay for it!!! Darn. You are a lucky guy, Sip.

Best

Talk show on Chicago radio last night said a group is trying to get the movie re rated R because of all the smoking. Good grief! Some people don't have enough to worry about. Bugs Bunny was always smoking in cartoons. If he was a cowboy he was rolling his own smokes. If a gangster he always had a cigar. Popeye was never without his corncob pipe. When the Flintstones was over Fred and Barney did a commercial for Winstons.

+1 on Claudia Black, she was one of the reasons I kept watching Farscape when the writing started to get weird and drift off. I think she should have switched roles with Rhada Mitchell in Pitch Black. She just had a fairly recent role on NCIS as a tattooed biker, her American accent was pretty good.
But no matter what, will always remember her first real role as Aeryn Sun.

Well that seals it-I'm definately going to see it now :D

First off, I don't smoke, don't care for it, don't really like to be around it. Allergies. But until this came up here, I really paid no attention to any of the characters in the cartoon smoking.

But I guess if you're looking for something to get your knickers in a twist over you can always find it . . . .

It was a pretty good movie but I laughed out load in the theater when the cylinder opened (like a hand ejector) and the rounds fell out of the single action.
