One of my strangest involved a steel 50' tape measure.
I was stopped in the straight thru lane one morning when a pickup barreled up aside me going like hell to make the turn light. As he went around the corner this tape measure fell out of the truck and bounced along the road towards my car. After a few bounces I reached out the window and caught it. The truck was long gone so I couldn't return it.
