Even first run here--I only see a hand full of people attending the movies I want to see. They flock to the garbage that is consistantly aired. However,I left out somehing important--i go to the early matinee--like I did twice for Fury--which was the first time in I dont know how many years--that I paid to see the same movie more than once at the theaters. Probably since Return of the Jedi????
Anyway, even during the matinee session--and 3 weeks after Fury started playing here--they still were packing in good crowds--or about 1/3rd the seating which was about 400 seats.
I finished reading the book this evening, actually I had to force myself to finish it. Although the man is a true American hero, I found the book to be a terrible piece of literature which was disappointing considering what it could have been. On a scale of A - F, I would give it a D+ or C- at best. I truly hope the movie is better.
I wouldn't say "pumped" but I am very interested in seeing it. Re-reading the book now as we don't get it until it's wide release. Listened to the interview with Bradley Cooper and Taya Kyle on NPR and saw Cooper's interview with Charlie Rose. By all accounts the film is done "right". No surprise for me considering the promises made by Eastwood, Cooper and Jason Hall.
