Wow! Wish I had seen it. I did just get a 4 inch 686-4 for under $700 off GB. I took a gamble and will know if I did well or not once it arrives. But hey, it's a 686.

End of summer always seems to be soft for collector guns. But someone got a great deal.

You are right, on the other hand how come I search gunbroker constantly and never see a deal? I saw a 29 - 2 sell a couple times for over 4K
With that serial number it probably shipped with cokes. If they had still been on the gun it would have hammered for more.
I bid $1061 on that gun in the last hr. Shipping was $40. Figured $1100 OTD was a good price. I bet a lot of people didn't notice it was P&R. I wondered why he didn't show stamp that he "couldn't read". The guy who bought it bid several times. He must have had a large max bid number.
Didn't even see that one. Looks like a pretty darn nice gun too.
When I was looking a dozen years ago they were typically $750 on gb which I thought was too high. When I finally decided to pay the piper I came across a 29 something but thought I might be seeing a 4 th screw in the ****** pix. I gambled and it was a 4 screw wearing later stocks ;-) Ya never know when a nice deal will pop up. If I'd seen this one I would have bit lol
