I plan on making a call tomorrow after having an email conversation with TruGlo and see what kind of interest needs to be generated to get some of these into production for the Shield's. If you are interested please post here and let me know. I have gotten companies to make products in the past on automotive forums so this should be a piece of cake.

I will update this thread after the phone conversation with Truglo.

Definitely interested as this is what's currently on my M&P 9FS, and love them. I was doing to measure them this evening to see if they would happen to fit. Keep us posted with any response.

I'm interested. I'm actually working with Storm Lake about a threaded barrel for the Shield.

Whatever happened? Is TruGlo now making any TFO type sights for the Shield? I would also like a set if they are manufactured specifically for the Shield and not the original full sized M&P version.

I would be interested also if they were Shield specific, not just "something that will work.":D

I'm waiting also for the official release of the sights for the Shield.

I couldn't wait. Got a set that fit the M&P series of guns for 75 bucks and had them installed. They look good. The overhang on the rear sight is discernible. If you want 'em, get 'em. Nice and bright.

bmyers, do you know of an "official release" of the sights for the Shield in the near future? Anyone else have knowledge?
Simple thing to do is contact TruGlo and ask. Just thought there may be some positive skinny out here before I start knocking on corporate doors which I'm willing to do for the sake of our narrower Shield slides.

Ones just for the shield, would be nice, will just have to wait and see.

They've been out. Got mine at MidwayUSA. TruGlo TFO's sitting perfectly on top of my Shield. Bright green F/O for the day, bright glow at night. Check for previous thread. Had them on my Shield for about 9 months now.

TruGlo doesn't list a Shield specific TFO sight as available. The standard M&P version almost fits properly, but I suspect many of those interested want one that doesn't hang over the edges of the slide.

Update:

Roger, I stand by what I said, and Midway does not list a TruGlo TFO for the shield. That's not to say that the standard M&P model sights won't fit in the rear slot, and it would be a relatively simple matter to cut down the dove-tail male piece to keep it from extending beyond the female dove-tail slot on the slide, but you would then have to consider whether or not and how to re-finish the cut ends. I think most would like to have a finished product they didn't have to modify.
