Anyone like turkey Spam?

Meat? - - - Since when has it had meat in it?

I was told it was made from lips, feet, & feathers :)

You was told wrong - Besides -- Lips is meat ;)

SPAM is pork shoulder, some ham, and spices - That's all that's in that little can.

Jello, on the other hand IS made from hoofs (and maybe feathers?). But definitely from feet.

It's not like this stuff is secret.

I don't really like turkey. Can't see how turning it into Spam would improve it.

But now you got me going. Thinking about turkey makes me think about Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving makes me think about porketta. Now there's something I like. Thank you. This thread has already made my day.

I like it, heck, I've like about all the varieties, but the new peppered flavor is great fried with some cheese and mustard, man, I'm getting hungry! Cubed in an omelet is good, nothing wrong with some Spam...

Mom would serve Spam once a week....She would bake the whole brick w/ a pineapple ring and a maraschino cherry on top.

I have switched to Spam Lite....My wife and kids think it is gross. I don't understand that line of thinking...It is simply minced ham.

I called Hormel about the expiration date printed on the cans. That date only pertains to flavor. As long as the seal isn't broken it is still good to Eat.

The shelf life and the fashionable reluctance for people to snack on it makes it a very good prepper food.

Once upon a time I read that your survival kit in your back pack, boat, airplane should be packed with some Gains-burgers (dog food). No one would dig them out and eat them just because they have the munchies.

Turkey Spam....didn't care much for it...left a mysterious twang on my palate.

I like Spam pretty well, and eat it some, especially the reduced sodium sort. But I thought the turkey kind might be healthier.

I tried it. Don't. Some of the most bland, tasteless meat I've ever tried. I threw it out after enduring two slices.

Does anyone here like this stuff?

Yeah, I tried the turkey SPAM and it ain't none too good. Never been tempted to try it again. I do like the low sodium SPAM, but I only eat it when camping - fried SPAM 'n eggs is a filling breakfast, but even the low sodium variety is, IMO, too unhealthy to eat regularly. Hence I only eat a few times a year out in the woods.

Has anyone tried the Bacon SPAM? Any good?

Anything with bacon in it has got to be good. I'll be
looking for it at the store.
Spam cut 1/4" thick, on white bread, spread with mayo, and a thick slice of onion, there's a breakfast of Champions. Add a fried
egg, can't get much better than that!
If I see Turkey Spam, I'll try it. I Will add some Seasoned Salt
and Tobasco.
Nice thread; now, what's for dessert? TACC1

Sphincters-Peckers And Membrane

Can't stop laughing at this one! While everyone knows the story about it, my story is that SPAM was created by Satanic influences using a quije board and a seance. Pure evil and vile in a can. Should be given to prisoners at Gitmo...and would if not against the Geneva Convention.

We have SPAM probably once a week for breakfast. Put a little olive oil in a cast iron frying pan on medium/low heat. Slice in two red potatoes and half a can of diced, low salt SPAM. When the potatoes begin to brown add a little diced onions and three brown eggs and stir. Sprinkle grated cheese on top, turn off heat and and serve when the eggs are done. The iron pan seems to hold enough heat to cook the eggs just right.

Never tried turkey Spam. One of the grossest things I ever ate was turkey keilbasa. Some brands of turkey sausage are not too bad.
