Anyone try the KSDgrips??

OK guys now that a coupe of you have them in your hands and installed can you now tell us how they feel? Do they feel like they are locked on to the frame tight? Is there any reason to think they will loosen up over time? How does the quality of the checkering look? I am ready to order some but I want to hear some input from you first.

I'm getting more like TTSH everyday..........

Did you order on e_____ or another sight?
Hey! Hey! Hey!

Since when is "like TTSH" another way of saying "old & senile"??? :D

Ditto! :) Money is tight and dirt poor old me can't afford to buy anything right now just because "pretty"! It's got to fit just as tight and secure as the stock wrap-arounds or I'm gonna have to take a pass.

Must resist!.. And I couldn't - pair for my 4506 has been ordered.

I really look forward to hearing a report from you regarding your 4506. I'd also like to have a set on my 4506 but I'm reluctant until I hear about fit. I can easily see the finish and probably "feel" will please me very much, but if the fit ain't perfect, then I'll stick with my Hogue rubber. Not interested in anything that moves, wobbles or doesn't line up. I'm done wasting money on bad fitting stocks. BTW, I like the idea of having the two halves glued together rather than hoping the backstrap will line up properly with installation.

I have been keeping up with this post and really like the grips. But I have not found how much they cost. And I read where payment is COD. Is this correct? Any information would be helpful

The grips fit great and are very snug. You must be careful installing these though as these aren't like flexible rubber goodyear grips. The pin does fit tight, I would recommend using some graphite on the pin to minimize resistance. Also, to prevent a blow out on the exit side, I would recommend lining up the holes in the grip, frame, and plastic insert with a punch and then back it out as you GENTLY punch the pin through until it is in place.

These grips fit great and seem very stable, despite being wood, because the fit is so precise. I have not gone out and shot the pistol with them on so I can't speak to that as of yet.

I should add that I have been corresponding with the guy behind the scenes at KSD grips and he is top notch. He is very responsive and great to do business with. The endorsement does not come with anything to gain on my part, just my personal experience with him. I am looking forward to purchasing again and again from him as more varieties of style and material become available, which may include some grips with my own custom monogram.

He takes Paypal which is about as easy as it gets. You can find his stuff on Echo Beta Alpha Yankee.

I ordered a set for my 3913 and 5943SSV today.

Mustafa (KSD Grips contact) is extremely responsive and has been a pleasure to work with.

Just ordered today so obviously I'm some weeks out from being able to offer fitment advice.

I'll provide updates when they arrive - I suspect that there more with them in their possession by then.

this is what I'm talkin' about......about a week after I started this thread and mentioned.....and with several other forum members .....about a possible 39xx grip and "baada bing" he has what we asked for.....maybe it was already in the pipeline I dunno......but coincidence or not....I like the way he rolls....I ordered a 3913 grip before getting any function reports just because of that.......we all can see the "form" is good;).....let's hope the function is as well;)

I ordered a set of their grips for my CS9, primarily to just provide support for a company that has taken an interest in making grips at a reasonable price for a pistol that both S&W and Hogue have apparently lost interest in, as neither have had any grips available for the CS9 for a long time now.

I'm looking forward to it as well! I'll throw up pics of the KSD grips vs. the checkered rosewood Hogues on my 1006.
