Anyone using 10-8 sights on their M&P?

I have a real hard time with 3 dot sights now. My eyes are just getting old and I have a real hard time differentiating the front from the rear with dots. I have looked at the 10-8 sights and think they may be a good option. The rear has no dots and there are three choices in front. Tritium, Fiber Optic or Brass Bead. I am debating between Brass Bead or Fiber Optic. I would go FO for sure accept for the fear of them holding up.

Has anyone here used these? If so what do you think?

In the academy, I used a Springfield XD with trijicon night sights. Instead of the standard 3-dots, it was 2 dots. One in front, one in back. To aim, you create an "8" with the sights. They were sweet but there were no distinguishing features on the sights. Pretty much blacked out. I can see the appeal of the 10-8. No third dot to mess you all up in a midnight bedroom encounter....

I run a factory Trijicon night sight up front and 10-8 plain rear... they work extremely well when not wearing glasses or contacts.

I have several M&Ps equipped with the 10-8 brass bead front and u-notch rear sights. I find the brass bead to work very well outdoors. It's a fast setup that I like a lot.

jajo Did you have your gunsmith order them? The reason I ask is there are like 4 different width options for the dovetail front sight. I have no idea which to order. I don't have a tool to measure something that accurately.

I ordered the same dimensions 10 8 installs on their M&P custom guns.

Height .160
Width .125

I ordered them and took them to my gunsmith. He had no problems with me providing my own parts. Fast delivery and they came with green and red fibers. Enough material for 2 installations of each color.

I will get it back tomorrow and shoot it Saturday.

Thanks jajo. I will probably do the same. I just can't decide if I want the FO or the Brass Bead. I look forward to hearing your report on the FO sight. THANKS!

I run them on my IDPA gun - FO front. Absolutely love them and have had no issues
