Are revolver prices leveling off?

When McDonald's offers 2fer priced for one item for breakfast and burgers you know it's slow. This tells me there throwing out more product than there selling(old shelf life).

I think we also see the older owners/collectors cashing in on the higher profits too.

It's a buyer's market right now. But not really that slow. I just lost a buy it now and a m19 I was hesitant about just sold. So it's not really slow maybe the buyers are more model sensitive? This tells me we need to be market savy and to move quicker when buying.

I use the shark tooth necklace index. Here in beach touristville, the shark tooth necklace has gone up steadily for the last three years (with seasonal corrections of course) and even though the season has come near to the end, the shark tooth necklace is holding steady at $1.99. When I figure in the reduction in actual teeth per necklace, I see an increase of 18% p.a.

This figure reflects my area in gun prices, barring the anomalous divorcee selling a sock drawer Colt DS for $350 last week.:)

There are so few good used S&W's around here it is impossible to see any trend. New gun prices have begun to level off as the show cases are now full and overflowing with all the back-orders having been filled.

My LGS/range has a pretty good supply of new revolvers in the cases, I'd say over a hundred, with most of them being Smiths. They even have a scandium 44 magnum that I really like, although I've never shot one. Business seems to be as good as ever around here from what I can tell. It was packed yesterday.

Boys, I can't really weigh in. I haven't "bought" a Smith in a coupla months now. There just aren't any out there when I run my trap lines. Not in my area of interest. A few of the new Smiths are around but , gosh, I can't tell you the last time I bought a "new"gun.
