Not something I would get excited about one way or the other. Seems like nobody gives me much of anything.

I do have a Remington cap I received for buying several boxes of Remington shotgun slugs. That may have been 20 years ago. It's so frayed and tattered now that my wife wants me to throw it out. I tell her it's not worn out yet.

John Deere gave me a cap when we bought a mower there about 5 years ago. It's on deck for when the Remington cap wears out.

My exception would be Repeater's ATF t-shirt. A convience store like this would be very crowded...

That being said I have lots of ball caps and t-shirts from various firearms manufactorers...I never wear them except around the house.

Nor do I burden my vehicle with stickers...only thing on the back of my vehicle is from my alma mater (Eagle Globe and Anchor).

In my neck of the woods, such advertising invites trouble.

"If you show it, you've got it." Which turns into a whole other story. No NRA stickers, no gun stickers, no campaign stickers, etc etc etc.


Here's a funny advertisement I saw in the back seat of a beat up Toyota hatchback at a stop light about four or five years ago...it was covered with bumper stickers praising Communism and socialism. Again, a way to invite unwanted attention from multiple sources.

Unless you are paid for it, it doesn't pay to advertise.

I do wear shirts with advertising on them.
But no stickers of any kind on our vehicles

Only have my NRA decal.

I used to have one on every car I ever owned. Also, a sticker showing my gun club.

NOT ANYMORE.

We are too divisive today. First of all, a liberal might just key your car because they hate the NRA. Secondly, now someone knows you have guns and they might follow you home to see where you live. Easy burglary target.

OK, I'm paranoid. Better safe than sorry.

As a person that has bought a lot of cars & trucks over the years, It don't leave the lot with dealer stuff on it. I tell the sales guy and put that in the contract and as usual I do a good walk-around. If its there I have them take off the sticker and/or the plate surround.

I have bought a few Vettes and I have to say, those people know how anal Corvette people can be and know right from the get-go not to put junk on a Vette!

I tell the salesman that if a sticker is on the back, I won't take delivery until they take it off and don't damage the paint.

I DO accept plate surrounds because I collect them and then replace it with a SS one.

My daily attire gives testament to sports team logos, cartoon characters, music themes, beer, pithy sayings and a faulty color wheel.

Yes I am...

Mrs Chad works at Carhartt and I wear their caps, shirts, jackets, coats, socks, pants and underwear. We also give their products to family, friends and service workers who do a good job for us.

It's good stuff and we get it at half price. We may be frugal, but we're not stupid and support a great family owned company!

My dad and two brothers also retired from Ford Motor Company and I worked there for a few years. I haven't driven anything but a Ford/Lincoln/Mercury product for almost 50 years.

Loyalty to American companies who butter your bread is a good thing.

Generally, I agree. Why should one pay to advertise for big corporations? I do make a few exceptions. I have a Remington camo ball cap. They may have left New York State, but I still respect their heritage here and own a few of their products. I have an FMF cap. It's how us old motocross racers identify each other. I also have one from a local rod & gun club. I have had hats and T-shirts made to advertise my own business. I give them away.

I don't blame Remington for leaving. I blame NY for them leaving.

Nothing on my vehicles but I do wear a ball cap if weather calls for it. If I do it's usually a NRA cap that I got with a 5 yr membership or one that was free from Tractor Supply.

To the annoyance of multiple car dealers, I either remove their advertising number plate frames entirely or turn them around and put them behind my plate.

I've told car salesmen that if the dealer's name appears anywhere on my purchase, especially on the paint or a mounted in a hole drilled in the body, the deal is off. I'm walking.
I can throw away a license plate frame, but anything else defaces and permanently damages finished surfaces and I will not tolerate that. I would not even concede to a discount or cash back if they say well, we're sorry, etc. I write it in the contract before signing.

I agree. Removal of the dealer sticker and plate frame is requested before the papers are signed.

I am a Carhartt fan, but will not buy their products that are emblazoned with the Carhartt name down the sleeve or across the chest. Nothing larger than the little square logo patch.

Heh heh. I even take a scalpel and cut off stitches in the little patch, because I usually really like their clothes. Some things have slipped in quality in recent years.

For decades, I've liked Tommy Hilfiger clothes for their style, colors and materials, but there is no way I'm going pay their high prices, and then walk around with a 2" x 10" TOMMY or HILFIGER across the back or chest.
