When "precious metals" to you means brass and lead.

Yeah, I'm more prone to hoarding lead and components than factory ammo. I have guns that have never chbered a round of factory stuff.

Ha, this thread makes me smile. I've never considered myself a hoarder, although tried to stay ahead of the game, and decided to "prep" some when toilet paper got scarce.

Re my inventory costing more than my truck... hey now, that truck is old.That's not a fair comparison...

Count? Are we counting what I know I have, what I consider acceptable to shoot right now, or what I may have put away for a rainy day?
Or are we also including the boxes I primarily use to make shelves and dividers too? Because hey, those are important distinctions.

You can't be called a "hoarder" unless you have appeared on at least one episode of the TV show ... and you know which show I'm talking about .

Hoarding implies an unhealthy mental condition, I prefer the term prepping instead. [I took Y2k seriously.] You might be an ammo prepper when you're still buying lead bullets with 1200 lb of wheelweights in your shop.

I don't hoard, my problem is when i see a deal on ammo, i can't really remember how much of that caliber I have at home, so "just in case" I grab some while the deal is there. not like you can go home and check the inventory and go back and still find the deal.

And don't tell me to put my inventory sheet on my phone. My wife hasn't thought of that yet....
