Argentina. 22

In the late 70's or early 80's Argentina made a law that certain items sold in Argentina must be made there. They enlarged cities in the south with manufacturing zones and gave tax incentives to relocate. Per their interpretation if the product was shipped in parts and assembled there it qualified to be stamped IA or Industria Argentina.

The REXIO factory has existed for several years. They began manufacturing what in my country we call PISTOLONES, which are single-shot pistols for small-caliber shotgun cartridges such as the 36 and 32. In the mid-90s they began manufacturing revolvers.
They are inexpensive guns, I personally don't own any, but that doesn't mean they don't do their job when shooting the .22 LR.

I don't know the law you mention, what I remember clarified that at that time I was in high school is that imports were closed due to the economic problems that my country was going through.

makes russian roulette alot more "russian".

Lasserre S.A. is/was the company that made what was known in the USA as the super commanche pistol. In argentina the product name was REXIO something. can find very old archive saved photos of "argintina 22lr revolver" that come in factory boxes with REXIO printed on the side.

Imported By is visible, but the importer company name is covered up.
The revolver shown in the link is not a Rexio, it is a gun designed by an Argentine soldier named García Reynoso, which happened in Europe in the 1890s and the gun was manufactured in Belgium.

I had friends who relocated to Rio Gallegos for this purpose. I thought it was a law but could easily have been policy from some politicos.
