Which length 27-2 would you get if you could only have one

I have to go with Skeeter's favorite, the 5". It’s not too long and not too short. Just perfect.
Yup, seems perfect to me as well. Amazing what 1/ 1.5” barrel length does to sight radius. I own a number of 3.5” and 3” N frames, love them, but not to carry. Have a new 66 Combat Magnum 2025 model. Handles and conceals far better with the same ballistics as a model 27 3.5”

For my taste, it’s not about rare, it’s shoot and feel. Opinions, are something we all have! 😃 so my opinion is a four inch. I have 6.5 inch in a 25-2, and a five inch in a 629. Three inch in a model 13.
2.5”, and 8 3/8”. Love them all.

I have owned 4 27-2 since 1976 a 6", that i shot bullseye with in the late 70's and early 80's. Two 5" and one 4". I guess my favorite was the one I kept when i downsized.

4" 27-2 blued with 3T's

A 6-1/2” is the only one I’ve ever really been interested in and have never found one in decent shape at an agreeable price. I have or have had the others. Of those, I prefer the six incher, since they usually come with a black Patridge front sight.

I''ll go with a 5" too.

I'll agree with the 6" Model 27, after thinking for days. After the 6" K frame Model 14 with Patridge front sights, it just blended in and I shot it more than the others. Like them all, though.
