No, because:
- This stuff never really changes. It's:
- always full of lies, misinformation, and disinformation.
- meant to harm as many NON-criminals as possible.
- Besides, it's VERY unlikely to go anywhere since it would gravely endanger a lot of phony-baloney jobs, and wouldn't be obeyed in any case.

They have omitted the usual lie "Oh no, we don't want to take your target rifles. We only want to take those horrid assault weapons."
These proposed statutes usually have an exception for Colt HBAR rifles. Not this time, and they specifically call for Colt Match Target Rifles to be banned. They are going for everything without a bolt, lever or cylinder this time. This time there is no room for sitting on the sidelines thinking they will take the black rifles and leave your guns alone.

The gun grabbers want all guns (except ones they personally own). That is it. Bottom line, end of story.

Some of them now are explicitly going after the Fudds' 1100s and 11-87s... not to mention virtually EVERY common self-defense handgun on the market.
Unless they're getting censored before I even see them, I've been surprised by how FEW Quislings have shown up in the various firearms forums. Maybe they've wised up to their colossal failure on that front... but I doubt it.
The good thing is that two false narratives have been irreparably destroyed:
- "Nobody wants to take your guns."
- "You don't need a gun, the police will protect you."

In some ways, it's actually the opposite.
They've outed themselves as WANTING to take a LOT if not ALL guns.
The fairy story about being "protected" by the police has been SO effectively refuted, that they're whining in the media about how their narrative has been sabotaged by Sheriff Israel and the Broward County Sheriff's Department. It doesn't hurt that a lunatic went on MSNBC and claimed that criticizing Israel, the Sheriff's Department and the FBI for their despicable incompetence prior to the shootings was "sedition".
They remind me of the damage control officer on a Japanese aircraft carrier who, after the avgas tanks were holed, turned on the ventilators and spread gasoline vapor throughout the ship, turning it into a huge, floating fuel air bomb... with predictable results. I hope Shannon Watts has stocked up on marshmellos...
The other side is melting down. We should lend them every assistance in that endeavor.

Agreed. We also need a constitutional amendment outlying mental illness. That will fix a lot of things (at least as well as any gun control laws will).
This is the most aggressive, rabid attempt to outlaw all guns since at least 1968, after Bobby Kennedy was killed.

Despite the laughable media lies, I see no mood for "compromise" in the grassroots gun community.
Strangely I've seen few of the Quislings and fifth columnists one usually sees after these incidents. Maybe they've figured out that nobody's buying the BS. But I doubt it.

What is a barrel shroud?
It is the part of the gun, hand made by Satan of course, that makes sure that it only shoots innocent little children and instantly kills them even if the bullet misses. It also makes fuzzy little kitties explode if they even see it. Just like a pistol grip on a rifle. Or it might just be a tube around the barrel with a bunch of holes in it that keeps you from burning your hand on a hot barrel. I just don't know. Ask a high school kid that eats Tide Pods and cannot figure out if he is a boy or a girl. They seem to be the real experts on anything that has to do with guns.
Don't kid yourself, it's different this time. Get ready to fight and fight hard. Letters to our elected officials and contributions to the NRA. Don't send those post cards you get to be sent to officials. Write an actual letter and do not be offensive. Write a respectful clean letter telling the officials where you stand.

Of course this time the other side is stepping on rakes faster than Sideshow Bob on angel dust. I hang the twin albatrosses of Sheriff Israel and Deputy Scot Peterson around their necks EVERY chance I get.
Sticking with "You don't need a gun, the police will 'protect' you.", they're ten feet deep and digging for all they're worth. I hope they stick with that. My grandmother knew it was a lie in 1919. I knew it was a lie forty years ago. Now EVERYBODY knows it's a lie.
