I've written about this guy before, but I'll go over it again. I don't have the exact dates so I'll guess as close as I can. Somewhere around the late 90's or early 2000 a guy that lives down the road from me was arrested in West Memphis,Arkansas for killing a prostitute. A witness saw him throw her out of the cab of his 18-wheeler. He was convicted or pled guilty and received a 20 year sentence of which he served six years in the Arkansas State Penal system. He was then paroled back to Mississippi under the watchful eye of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. While here he went on a stealing spree, failed to meet his parole officer in a timely manner, rusted out several pee cups, and raped and attempted to kill a streetwalker who refused to testify against him. Myself, several other officers, and the local DA's office attempted on numerous occasions to get Arkansas to come get him for parole violations. Finally after three years of effort they came and got him and took him back to Arkansas where they held him for nine months and then sent him back here. He's been back here for about nine months.
This morning our department was notified by the Missisippi Bureau of Investigation that some officers from Florida were here and they wanted to pick this POS up. It seems he left a little DNA on a dead girl or two in Florida. He was arrested at 0100 and taken to the Ms. Highway Patrol station in Hattiesburg for questioning. I wasn't involved in this investigation and don't know where he is now.
The guys ex-wife was blabbing that she helped burn the clothes taken from the body of a girl who was thrown off a mountain somewhere. When questioned about this she denied saying it. The perp was a truck driver and traveled many states, mostly in the southeast. Any unidentified victims who may have been a prostitute or hung around truckstops and may have been found near major highways might just have this guy's name on them. I have long suspected that he is a serial killer, just couldn't prove it. If you want his name and the name and number of the Ms. officer who dealt with him e-mail me. It's not my case but I can point you in the right direction.
