George at MGW sent it to me today.I think I got the first one, and boy does it work! Thank You George!
This removed the rear sight, of my shield, that no other sight tool could budge. (note the new side support).

I should have took a picture of the "hump" on the rear sight, that makes it a pain to remove. I filed some of it off before I reinstalled the rear sight, and it went in just right!

This sight tool is listed at Midway and Brownells. but they are both out of stock on it.

I removed and replaced the front and rear sights on my Shield with the original MGW tool for the FS M&P...no problem if you're careful. So what's the big deal again?

Nice looking sight pusher. If you're ever looking for a pusher that works on everything, try this: P500 Universal Sight Tool | Brownells

Haven't found a sight it can't push out including but not limited to the front & back sights on, M&P FS/Compact/Shield, SD9VE, Beretta 92, 1911s, XD/M/S and various other brands.

The big deal IS... a Shield is NOT and FS M&P, and if you have read the threads you would know the old style pusher can crack the slides on the Shield... Is that problem enough for you?
My original pusher broke the base holder, when I tried to remove the rear sight...Thus the reason for the upgrade.

Guys at my local range have been changing shield sight since Nov 2012, don't know what sight changer they use but didn't know there was a problem

Do you need a different sight because you are trying to make the shield a bullseye gun? It is a self defense platform. If you can't hit center mass within conflict range you better stop carrying.

He's just showing the sight pusher guys. I suggested a universal one, but some people want a fiber optic, tritium or other sights. I'd rather have a universal one for every gun, but it's nice to see one specifically made for the Shield for those not wanting anymore than that.

Why does everyone assume?? I actually needed to remove the rear sight so I could clean up the striker safety channel of burrs! As my trigger was gritty as hell. Also, what if I wanted to put on a night sight on the rear??, or put the Apex kit in??

My "new" gunsmith uses this one...
High Dollar Sight Mover
His shop is at my local gun range. He finally got my front sight centered last Wednesday. $10 total and he made five adjustments. The front sight was way off to the right when we measured it with a caliper(shooting left).
I looked everywhere for the MGW Shield sight tool, then read where they had been recalled for breaking slides. Glad they got it worked out with the slide support.
Thanks for the post DeeBee. :)

It's great if you plan to change your sites a lot.

Probably hammer and chisel... Not how I roll...

Like I said didn't know there was a problem. You can see the work area and they have a couple sight pushers I just don't know which one they are using, but several have had night sights installed .
