Just picked up an SD9VE and although I have not had a gun for 18 years...I must say I am pleased with this 320$ purchase. My wife also shot it along with 4 of my kids (ages boy 11, boy 14 , Girl 15, and girl 18.) It was the first pistol shooting for all of them and they did wonderful. (and yes they all went through several sessions of gun safety from me and others that knew way more than me). This is a very pleasing gun. We put 150 rounds through it without one single problem. A very impressive 9mm I am glad I found it.

That's awesome. I picked up my sd9ve on the 26th last month and have put 260 rounds through it. I can find $14 dollar ammo (monarch) here at my Academy so it's not too expensive to shoot. I had been looking at this gun for quite a while and when I had finally saved up the money nobody had it in town, at least not w/o a jacked up price. So I got lucky and went to Academy on the day they received their shipment and they got 3 in.

I have let about 6 other people shoot it and they all like it. 2 were my friends, 1 was an acquaintance I ran into while shooting and there were 3 of his friends.
 
Agreed. I was finally able to shoot mine this past weekend and enjoyed every shot. Only put 100 rounds through it, but it looked as if it hadn't been shot at all it was so clean.
