I used to tend bar at a place that opened at 9am. By 10, when WGN showed The Andy Griffith Show, the day drinkers were good and juiced. If it was a "Barney" (meaning an episode with Don Knotts) all was good. If it was a later episode with no Barney they were surly until Bob Newhart started.
