Is the barrel diameter of the S&W 10-6 the same as a M19? Never had a heavy barrel 10 to measure. Thanks guys.

I don't have a heavy-barrel Model 10 to measure but, for whatever it's worth, I'd guess the actual muzzle diameter is bigger than the Model 19. From what I remember, it sure looked that way to me.

This may not be typical, but my model 19 is .675", and my model 10 HB is .700".

I was here before the ownership change, too, so a few more than that, but more to the point, I've learned a lot here over the years and enjoy the place. I notice you "pre-date" me by a few years. 
My Model 19 4" measures 0.665" too, like yours. It's a -2 version. My 6" -4 version also measures 0.665" at the muzzle.

I'm a bit confused here...... Is the OP asking about the ID or OD?? I would think the ID is what he is interested in - but from your responses I may be misinterpreting the question.

They should both have the same ID since they use the same bullets.

Exactly. The .6 measurements are way too large for ID.
