BASED ON: How long will you wait for $10/box 9mm?

That Hughs ammunition is made in India.

Might be good ammo, but is it reasonable to compare extra run or surplus, imported ammo to yesterday’s $10.99 Winchester or Federal?

Dunno, I don't recall seeing any qualifiers on the "never see it for $10 again" statements.
From what I've seen of Winchester white box a few years ago, the India stuff might actually be better...

My personal opinion is that we will have about a year to year and a half window where prices will moderate then when we get close to the fall of 2024 prices will jump again.

Primers are starting to hit the market around 75.00 per thousand.

You will just have to make your decision about when to jump back in. Personally, I am looking at my stock from a dollar cost average perspective. Some components and ammo bought cheap some high and some mid-range. Overall, the cost starts to moderate over time. Just like the stock market trying to time it is just too tough, so DCA is a good strategy.

it would be delusional to believe manufacturers outside the US can't produce quality ammo. All the good competition rimfire ammo comes from Europe.

LOL, yeah, maybe - until you have to buy primers at current prices.
You can't load anything for 6 cents a round when primers are 8 or 10 cents apiece.
FWIW, I have 50k-60k of primers that I paid 2 - 3 cents apiece for, so I can probably match your 6 cents a round - at least until my NOS supplies are depleted.

I have ALWAYS kept a good supply of components on hand and I load my free(except for my time) cast bullets.....I may in a year or two have to buy more components........For the time being all is good.

I just clicked on it. Out of stock. If they don't have any too sell they could price it at $1.00 a box and still not lose money. Larry
The ad came out early Wednesday. Of course they are sold out 36 hours later.

LOL! How long did you think a deal like that would last in the current "buy every round you can find" climate?

It's coming, if the 'gubment' will just leave things alone.

I'm one of those guys with a stockpile, that adds when there's a deal. I don't even consider $260 a bargain now, which is $13 a box. Because I still have plenty in reserve from when it was still there.

I recently bought a couple cheap 1-4x24 scopes, marked on clearance from somewhere. $50 apiece with decent reviews, so I decided to get 2 for some beater rifles. Place I ordered from had ZQI 9mm $9.99, one box limit, so I picked that up along the way.

Almost there. ;)

Win 115gr ball, $220, no tax, shipping included @Bereli in Ft Lauderdale. One could say with no tax or shipping it is there.

Plenty of $12.99/50 with free shipping available out there on line. That's not $10.00 but it's lower than I was expecting to see again . Will it get any lower ?....it would be nice but now is probably the time to get stocked up in preparation for the next...dare I say it ? ...ammo shortage.

Out of curiosity I just went on line and checked . SG Ammo has CCI Blazer 115 grain aluminum cased ammo for $ 229.80 for a 1000 round case with free shipping . That works out to $11.50/50 and that's MUCH closer to $10.00/50 than I thought we'd see.

I’m gonna wait for the guys with huge stockpiles of ammo to croak, then buy it for five bucks a box.
