BASED ON: How long will you wait for $10/box 9mm?

Time to be buying in my opinion.

Yep....now would be a good time.
Yeah, not a bad time to start buying some, if you're dollar-cost-averaging. Barring any major developments, we should be reaching the point of excess inventory soon....
Of course, if something major happens, all bets are off and the current $11-$12 a box bargains will look like the "good ol' days".

Got an ad by email today, 250 rounds of 115 gr FMJ 9 mm for $45.96. They were sold out so I don't know about a shipping cost. Nine months from the thread opening. :)

i bought my revolvers and pistols to shoot. I am not interested in merely just looking at them, etc. I like to go to the range and shoot. I shoot when I can find ammo. I buy when I can find ammo at a decent price. I reload so that I can shoot. I am not going to wait and wait and wait and let time slip through my fingers, time that I cannot get back. When my children and grandchildren are able to come to the house, if at all possible I get them to the range. We have a great time. If it cost me $100 - $200 in ammo that I scrounged up ... it's money well spent. I will never see them young again. I would rather watch them and enjoy them as they shoot and have a good time. Sincerely. bruce.

was that the tactical poo deal with buy 4 get 5th free?

I wonder what the per primer cost is when the entire round is under 20 cents per. Primers are obviously being made in massive quantities, just not boxed for retail sale.

If the price is right I will buy alum. cased 9mm for the indoor ranges
since it is a done deal when it hits the floor, at most places.

Any real 9mm has to be brass, for me to pay the higher prices, just in case I can find them to reload them agaian, when I go into the field.

$16-17 for 50 rounds, is not bad, these days.

Yup, and barring something else major happening beforehand you're going to be seeing more and more of those kinds of deals...

Not great but I got 1K CCI Blazer Brass 115gr 9mm for $283 ($260+$19tax and $4 ins). Fact is I can afford it even though I don't need it. Reason enough, discounting DC idiots "propensity" for messing with free commerce. Joe

Natchez has aluminum for $239 and brass CCI 9mm for $249 with free shipping. I would be buying at this price!!!

I just ordered 1000 Blazer 9s from Natchez, free shipping is hard to beat. 11.95 a box is close enough. Thanks for heads up.

You owe me a beer.

Natchez came through!

I could have gotten brass for another 10 bucks, but I don’t reload this stuff.

I have fired many thousands of the aluminum with no problems. I was once using it in a match and the guy supervising the match asked what kind of "hot" ammo I was using.

I managed this buy around Thanksgiving last year.

1 x 1000 Round Case - 9mm Luger Sellier Bellot 115 Grain FMJ Brass Case Ammo - SB9A - $269.80

I don't usually buy 115gr as I find much of the available stuff marginal in certain guns, but S&B tend to load hot, so I grabbed some.

There are several new manufacturing facilities getting cranked up. Fiochhi, Ammo Inc., and Freedom Munitions are all building new production facilities. Other companies are upping primer production. It will take some time for these facilities to get built and amortized but all of this should increase supply and ultimately help consumer prices. Will we get back to $7.99/box for 9mm? It seems unlikely given the inflation and current policies out of Washington but I would expect prices to drop a bit from where they are in the next couple years.

As stated previously, if I was low on 9mm (I am not), I would be buying at least a case now.

Edit to add, I checked AmmoSeek and Winchester, Magtech and one other known brand could all be bought for around $8.00 per box. There were limits and shipping involved.

CCI 5200 115 gr. brass cased FMJ 9mm at $11.99/50 round box at Sportsman Fulfillment. Shipping on a 20 box case just under $20. Ordered on a Saturday night and arrived noon on Thursday.

And they ship to New Jersey if you send them your New Jersey Firearm Identification Card.

So, with gasoline now at $3.00 per gallon and unlimited shooting for members at my local range 14 miles away, a weekly trip to shoot 25 rounds from my everyday carry gun is just under $10.
