Anyone else pick up on the inconsistencies in the article?
It is talking about a "Model 19 purchased by his dad in 1957" as a future gift.
The thing that triggered my ocd is the pictured revolver ,
First off it's a 6" and those didn't exist in 1957.
Next is it has the channel cut behind the ejector rod knurling so it's definitely a left hand thread, next while I cant see if the cylinder is recessed because of the angle is that there appears to be no barrel set pin so most likely a late production 19-4 or a 19-5.
The pictured gun is wearing pre 63 diamond walnut target stocks and has the early "Big butt" ampersand but even if there is a barrel set pin the earliest it could be is an early 6" Model 19-2 from around 1963 ish.
There is a side credit that says NRA member photo but don't think this pic goes with this story.
