I'll be 54 in a couple weeks and still have all my original teeth. Yeah...I've got some crowns but I don't have to take my teeth out before I go to bed. Went in for a cleaning/checkup yesterday. Hygienist says I need to floss more....every day....plus recommended Listerine. Just wondering...how many people floss every day?

I stopped flossing

I stopped flossing when I got some caught between my teeth and I couldn't pull it out and neither could my wife. (I have very uneven teeth) When I finally yanked it out my jaw hurt for 3 days. Now, every day I use the little thin toothpick looking thingys with the teeny built in brush and it works well. Always finding something I didn't know was there. Oh, and I'm from the South but not a rebel. More of a scalawag.

I guess the folks with five teeth can floss with their finger.:)

Every day! I could't sleep if I didn't floss. My mouth just would't feel clean. Sonora

No, my Wife does, but I brush three times a day and chew a Milk Bone.

That was YOU that I saw the other day?

After every meal...religiously. And use the "pick" as well. All my real teeth...thank goodness. :)

Be safe.

well, AT LEAST twice a year..... usually that is when the hygenist at the dentist does it. :-(

Should do more I guess......

I just started flossing ,what an improvement. every day .I have some teeth missing ,but they were helped out. lol

I've been flossing every morning for some time now. Formerly I didn't, because my former hygienist told me it HAD to be done at night, after all the eating is done for the day. I get so tired before bed I never could establish the habit at that time. Then my present hygienist told me it didn't matter what time of day it was done; the benefit would still be realized. I began doing it in the morning and now my gums and teeth are in much better shape.
