I've been off of the S&W Forum the last 3 years, although I visit it daily without logging in to see what is going on with the members on here.
Back in January of 2018 I sold my house of 25 years in Las Vegas, NV. and moved to southwest Utah. The reason was because the area turned into Los Angeles with an increase in crime and traffic. My neighborhood saw a large increase in crime like cars being broken into and stolen. There was an increase in burglaries and home invasions. Your boxes and packages were stolen from your front porch after UPS and Fed Ex dropped them off. The last straw was the Harvest Festival mass shooting in October of 2017. A feeling of meanness settled over the area.
So, my lady friend and I left for a free state. She grew up in Ogden, Utah and has family here in SW Utah. We bought a new house out in a rural area. We are surrounded by alfalfa fields, cattle, sheep, horses , bald eagles, red tail hawks, and ravens. We have beautiful sunsets all the time.
We have spent the last 3 years putting in landscaping for the front yard, concrete patios, block walls and gates, raised veggie beds, irrigation, and fruit trees. Last March we decided to get chickens just as Covid 19 took off. So I had to build a secured coop and run. So, I have been busy.
Our little city is awesome, with friendly folks, not much traffic, no lines at the DMV and post office. There are several pawn shops here that sell guns and such.
Our little subdivision has 129 homes, and lots of folks fleeing California and buying lots for a new house. We have quite a few LEO'S moving here. Good folks.
I returned to this forum because back in December of last year I came into the possession of a S&W 29-3. It is blue with a 4 inch barrel, and quite a story to tell, if it could talk.
Hint: it is a commerative S&W. I am going to post a thread in Smith and Wesson, 1980 to present with pics. You could say this revolver "spoke " to me. Now I just have to remember how to post pictures on my phone.
