Picked up a Benchmade Mini Bugout today. Selected because of good reviews and extreme light weight. Have limited experience with knives. I misplaced my Kerahaw Chive.

It is manual because NC does not allow concealed auto knives. Manual works just fine for me. There's some argument that an exposed pocket clip means that it is not concealed but it's not an argument that I want to have with the po-lice....even as an attorney.

Would have gone with a black or dark blue if available. Right now there's only comes in white and orange.

The Axis lock, slicked up from a few hundred openings, is fast. It rivals the speed of my Benchmade Infidel Auto. I carry an Axis lock where freedom is impaired.

I expect you will like it.

My wife gave me one a few months ago.I really like it and even the orange scales do not bother me. It has replaced my g10 butterfly for edc and I really like that Spiderco .

I think it looks good. Other than my most recent purchase, I try to avoid "tacticool" colors. I have Delicas in gray, blue, and purple. I'd like to get one in each color, particularly the hard-to-find pink.

I had a Benchmade several years ago. Good knife. I think it was the Mini-Presidio (manual opener). Good knife. Did have to send it back because the Axis lock spring broke. They replaced it and sharpened the edge. I ended up selling it because it was a little chunkier than I wanted at the time.

I'd still love to get a Benchmade 42, but I don't see that happening anytime soon, at least not without winning the lottery. :(

If you don't like the white handles you can change the color with Rit die very easy to do check out YouTube.
