Problem: large hands, round butt snub 66, need better grip than the factory.

I like the Pachmayr Gripper on big square butt revolvers. Is that a good answer for the round butt 66?

Anything better than the Gripper for my situation?

Thanks

I have large paws as well.

My 1st preference is for the older factory combat stocks. The grips that were supplied on the F-comp are a good substitute, but I have no idea who made them for the Factory

In regards to the Pachmayr Compac pros pictured above on 3S16s firearm, those are for smaller hands since the backstrap is not covered to reduce trigger reach.

The Pachmayr Compac has the back strap covered so it is a better choice for those of us that need a longer trigger reach. While pictured on the NightGuards you get an idea of how the Pachmayr Compac looks.

A friend of mine has some good sized mitts and he has a set of round butt targets on his 66 and likes them. Looked on eBay, they seem to command a premium.

I don't have a photo, but the Badger Custom boot grip extends slightly below the frame and is more comfortable than most that end at the bottom of the butt. Great fit and finish and we'll priced.

The grip on the F Comp Kframe 357s are Badgers! I would try the Pachmayr Compacs that cover the grip frame first. I have the Hogue Bantams on a K frame round butt and I have a medium sized hand and they are just right. Recommend a covered backstrap as long as both your palm and fingers are large and long.

I stand corrected on the Compac Pro by Pachmayr. Colt saa is right. I have good size hands and these feel right for me.

I agree about round butt Pachmayrs, but if you can locate a set of smooth rosewood Magnas and a Tyler adaptor, that'd be another good choice.

If you plan on carrying concealed, go with the smallest grip that is comfortable to you.

I knew cops that bought 2 1/2" M19s/M66s and then put huge wooden grips on them. Kinda defeats the purpose. Might as well carry a 4" and get the benefits of longer sight radius and more velocity.

Check out the wood laminate Pachmayr Renegade Grips. I will get my set tomorrow. Hope they feel as good as they look. This is my only K round butt gun. 10-5 snub. I will post pictures after they are on. Bob

I like Pachmayr Grippers...on my Ruger GP-100, four-inch bbl. On a snub, they're bigger than wanted.

Uncle Mike's had some excellent grips, which I really liked on the M19 snubbie, better than the Pachmayrs I had before. They're out of business, but you can still find them online or at shows. Here's a stock photo.
