I prefer the Protech over the Crosman for several reasons. For one, it has an actual thumb break that is much more instinctive to use than undoing the plastic buckle, and the retaining strap doesnt fall down into the holster and get in the way of reholstering, the spring metal clip on this one can be changed for left handed shooters, you still have the extra mag storage, and it can be worn closer to center line of your hip than the Crosman one can. And I paid like $4.00 more for it than the Crosman, off ebay. I still rarely use either of them, for the most part they are in the laptop bags I use to transport to/from the range.
One of the biggest problems that I have encountered in the cheap holsters is that during the course of the day, wearing them working in the shop and yard, that somehow the mag release button gets pushed. It has happened often enough that I don't wear three of the cheap ones, sticking with my Don Hume JIT ( around 10-20 on ebay) or my Uncle Mikes IWB.
