I dont care for the thing other than for something to velcro to a car seat or the like. The velcro "belt loop that isn't a loop" makes it where it has to go way in front of or behind a belt loop, the plastic snap-buckle isn't made to get the pistol out with any speed whatsoever, and the strap gets in the way majorly.

It's fine if all you want is something to store the pistol in. I have one velcro's to the side of mine and the wife's nightstands for our HD pistols to go into at night, her C9 and my SW40VE fit in them nicely, but I go with a Don Hume JIT for everyday carry when I want to be able to get to it quickly.

That's what I use for the Sigma and my HiPoint C9. Excellent fit for both the pistol and an extra magazine.

Just remember, you get what you pay for. If you want to trust a $7.00 holster to hold your firearm, go ahead, but I wouldn't recommend it. It is not made to secure a real firearm.

It might fit, and is cheap, but that's because it is cheap. What was the holster designed to hold? I wouldn't bet my life on one of those.

that 6$ holster from walmart looks and feels a hell of alot better than some of the expensive holsters made for "real" firearms

I use the AS holster, and it is made better and padded more than the others @ $25.00. It is great when riding 4wheelers in the woods, filling feeders, and having the chance of screwing up your gun. As far as the strap and buckle, once you get use to it It is as fast as a thumb break. Y waste your money for a name brand when some thing "off brands" are better. Just so you can brag to your buddys!!!
Sorry for the not S&W piece, only pic I had!!
My $.02

I prefer the Protech over the Crosman for several reasons. For one, it has an actual thumb break that is much more instinctive to use than undoing the plastic buckle, and the retaining strap doesnt fall down into the holster and get in the way of reholstering, the spring metal clip on this one can be changed for left handed shooters, you still have the extra mag storage, and it can be worn closer to center line of your hip than the Crosman one can. And I paid like $4.00 more for it than the Crosman, off ebay. I still rarely use either of them, for the most part they are in the laptop bags I use to transport to/from the range.

One of the biggest problems that I have encountered in the cheap holsters is that during the course of the day, wearing them working in the shop and yard, that somehow the mag release button gets pushed. It has happened often enough that I don't wear three of the cheap ones, sticking with my Don Hume JIT ( around 10-20 on ebay) or my Uncle Mikes IWB.

For times when I'm up at camp or around the yard and don't really care about concealment, or in jacket weather, I've come to like the Fobus GLT19 paddle. A guy on here suggested it when I was trying to find a holster to accomodate a rail adapter/accessories. I have a few Fobus holsters and they are my favorite for each gun I have. They are not the cheapest but for under $50 you can have a nicely made reliable holster IMHO.
